90 Day: The Single Life Season 3 Release Date, Cast, And More Information

Besides getting engaged, breakups are almost a certainty on reality dating competition shows. From "The Bachelor" to "Too Hot To Handle" to "90 Day Fiancé," couples featured on these shows don't often make it to the altar and have to revert back to their single status almost immediately after cameras stop rolling. However, there is also something intriguing about getting second chances at love, which is a concept that TLC has brought to life with "90 Day: The Single Life."

If the show name sounds familiar, it's because it's one of the many spin-offs from the "90 Day Fiancé" franchise. Per IMDb, "90 Day: The Single Life" follows six former contestants from the original series as they attempt to readjust to their single status, while attempting to kindle their romances. The caveat is that there are no guarantees that the singles will win their love back, causing suspense among viewers.

Like with other series in the "90 Day" franchise, this spin-off was so popular that it was renewed for a second season, which premiered in November 2021, per People. As the season is currently airing, fans are wondering if the show will get an order for a third season. Here's everything we know about a potential Season 3 of "90 Day: The Single Life."

When is the release date for 90 Day: The Single Life Season 3?

As the second season of "90 Day: The Single Life" is currently airing, TLC has yet to announce a renewal or release date for another season, according to Premiere Date News. However, given TLC's love for the franchise and its spin-offs, it is highly likely that the show will be renewed for a third season and an announcement could come any day now.

It is important to note that Season 2 wasn't announced until after the first season ended, so executives could just be following tradition for the upcoming season. Given the fact that the first two seasons also aired a few months apart in 2021, per IMDb, Season 3 of the show could see a release date in late spring or summer of this year.

That said, the delay from TLC could also be because of the surging omicron variant of COVID-19 that has impacted various production schedules. Fans will have to be patient and wait for executives to give us confirmation on a third season. Meanwhile, we can still root for our favorites as we watch the last few episodes of the current season.

Who will be in the cast of 90 Day: The Single Life Season 3?

Considering no news has been announced for Season 3 of "90 Day: The Single Life," there is also little to no information about who is cast in the show. We do know that cast members have been previously featured on "90 Day: Fiancé" and other spin-offs, and were fan favorites, like Stephanie Matto, Jeniffer Tarazona, and others.

Ed Brown, a.k.a Big Ed, was another cast member who charmed audiences with his gentle personality. Unfortunately for fans, Big Ed is no longer single and would not fit the criteria for being on Season 3. He got engaged to Elizabeth Woods, whom he met and reconnected on "The Single Life," in November 2021, per People, and doesn't have any plans to be single again.

"I couldn't be happier," Ed told the outlet. "I know in my heart that she's my forever, and that's all I need to know. I don't want to be with anybody else, I don't want to think about anybody else."

Perhaps Ed will be moved to "90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After," while a new cast member will take his place on Season 3 of "The Single Life."

Fans want improvements to 90 Day: The Single Life Season 3

While "90 Day: The Single Life" still garners good ratings and press from viewers, a lot of fans have been unhappy with the cast members and sexual content presented on the show and doesn't feel like TLC should renew the show for a third season. Screen Rant reports that fans are displeased with how many villains there are on the show. The amount of sexual references made on the show also turned off some viewers.

In a Reddit thread, one user lamented that the current season is "unwatchable." "I mean we have to watch a predator (Ed) or skip through all of his segments. Most of the rest of the cast is insufferable and the whole thing seems extra scripted. I'm not excited to watch it like I usually am for '90 Day' episodes," the user wrote, referencing Big Ed's sexual assault allegations (via The Blast). Another user complained about the avalanche of sexual acts aired on the show, writing, "They really took the sex talk way too far this season."

With the amount of criticism the show's getting, it will be interesting to see whether the show will be renewed for a third season at all. Only time will tell.
