Kesha Releases New Music Video, Opens Up About Letting Go

Kesha is back—and she's better than ever.

The "TiK ToK" singer dropped a new music video for her song "Learn to Let Go," and it's majorly inspiring. Using real-life home videos of the star as a child, the video follows Kesha (full name Kesha Sebert) through a woods as she seemingly works through her past, reliving memories.

But it's not just the heartwarming clips of the young future superstar that are making headlines—it's Kesha's moving HuffPost essay, published the same day as the video's release.

"'Learn to Let Go' is more than a song title... it's become one of my mantras over the last few years," Kesha begins. "As much as our past creates who we are, we can't let it define us or hold us back. And especially if you've been through something hard, and we all have, you can't hold on to resentment because it's like a poison. You have to learn to let go of those bad feelings and move forward."

Drawing from her own experiences—likely her legal battle with Sony producer Dr. Luke (real name Lukasz Gottwald), whom she's accused of sexual abuse—the 30-year-old offers valuable advice to readers about letting go of the past in order to embrace a happier future. "If you let your demons haunt you, they will haunt you forever," the singer writes. "Learn from your mistakes but don't dwell on them, and if you feel like someone has wronged you, let that be their problem ― not yours."

As Nicki Swift previously reported, Kesha reemerged on the music scene in early July 2017, releasing "Praying," her first new single in four years,  She released a video for another new song, "Woman," a week later.

We're so glad to have you back, Kesha!
