Clash Of The Cover Bands Season 2 - Here's What We Can Tell Fans So Far

"Clash of the Cover Bands" had viewers very intrigued when it debuted on E! in October 2021. The competition show put a new spin on the pretty saturated music reality TV show genre, pitting cover acts against one each other in two rounds of epic battle to be crowned the ultimate cover band.

As for what the winner actually got? Well, winning the first round netted the winning band an impressive $10,000, while the act crowned the ultimate winner took home $25,000 and a very special late night gig, the chance to perform on NBC's "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon." Fallon already has a connection to the series, as he serves as executive producer.

During the first season, the big winning honor went to Karen Hester, who was paying tribute to the ultimate Queen of Country music herself, the one and only Dolly Parton. She also got an extra sweet surprise gift on top of that promised $25,000 — another $25,000 which was gifted by the show's judges, according to E! News! Not bad at all.

But will someone else be in for the same fate in Season 2? Well, here's everything we know so far about new episodes.

Will there be a Clash of the Cover Bands Season 2?

Great question. Season 1 of "Clash of the Cover Bands" wrapped up on E! just before Christmas, crowning a winner on December 22, 2021, just over two months after it first premiered. As of March 2022 though, E! is still yet to officially confirm if it will get a second season.

It's anyone's guess right now when a potential Season 2 could potentially be announced, however, the first season was officially confirmed by Deadline in May 2021 and premiered on October 23, 2021. So, it's definitely possible any further episodes could follow that same timeline, with a possible announcement coming in May 2022 and new episodes hitting E! in late autumn.

One thing that's giving us plenty of hope the show could be back for more, though? Auditions! Lighthearted Entertainment, which takes care of casting for big shows like "Dating Naked," "Ready To Love," and "Are You The One?," has a page on its website as of March 2021 dedicated to those hoping to appear on the show. It features a contact form where hopefuls can enter all their details, including linking to their social media accounts, suggesting it could well be scouting for more musical talent for new episodes.

Who will be on the show?

Until we get some kind of announcement for Season 2 of "Clash of the Cover Bands," we don't know who could be competing. Just to give you an idea of how eclectic things got during the first season, though, per E! News, Season 1 saw a Tina Turner take on a Cher, a Jennifer Lopez wannabe compete against a Britney Spears impersonator, and a Foo Fighters cover band battle it out against Blink-182 soundalikes (amongst plenty of others!)

It's also not clear yet which of the famous faces who appeared on the first batch of episodes will be back, though we know Season 1 was packed with some serious star power we'd love to see back for more. The celebrity judging panel was made up of Adam Lambert, Meghan Trainor, Adam Lambert, and Ester Dean, while professional dancer and "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" DJ Stephen "tWitch" Boss hosted the series.

Keep your eyes peeled for any announcements on who will be judging talent if there's a second time around!

Where to watch

While we wait for more news on "Clash of the Cover Bands" Season 2, you can get familiar with the first season or even just watch it all over again. All episodes of Season 1 of the music competition are available on the NBC and E! apps and websites, while several of the electric performances can be seen via E! Entertainment's YouTube page.

You can also catch up with the winner of Season 1, Dolly Parton tribute act Karen Hester, when she performed her coveted winner's slot on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" in January. The talented performer put together a medley of the 2022 ACM Awards host's biggest hits — including "9 to 5," "Jolene" and "Two Doors Down" — and actually hit the stage on a very special day, Parton's birthday!

The star looked just like the country music icon in a gold and white sparkly dress with Parton's signature high hair as she showed us exactly why she took home the crown.

Here's to hoping we see more talent like this with a Season 2!
