Mandy Moore Suffers Black Eye, Needs Stitches

Poor Mandy Moore!

The This Is Us star suffered a pretty nasty injury after a run-in with her shower door handle. She took to Instagram late Thursday, Aug. 31, 2017 to show off her black eye and stitches. "Shower door handle- 1, Mandy- 0," Moore wrote in the selfie's caption. 

"Real talk: How does a girl get rid of a black eye pronto? Any helpful hints (minus Ice and arnica??)," the Tangled voice actress continued. "Thanks @stokerplasticsurgery for coming in at 9 p.m. to sew me up!! Never had stitches or a black eye before...what a day!"

As Entertainment Tonight notes, it is unknown whether Moore's black eye and stitches will affect the filming schedule for This Is Us.

As Nicki Swift previously reported, the Emmy-nominated breakout drama of 2016 is set to return with its second season on Tuesday, Sept. 26 at 9 p.m. on NBC. Last week, Moore shared a preview clip to tease the show's upcoming season, which features an emotional scene between her character, Rebecca Pearson, and her son Randall, played by Sterling K. Brown. "A little peak at what's to come in the second season," she wrote. "See you next month."

It's certainly been a busy summer for the former teen pop star. In addition to her filming duties and home injuries, the 33-year-old recently hinted at a musical comeback in 2018. "I want to return to music," the "Candy" singer told People in July. "I don't have a record label, but I have a lot of music written. Next year, I've decided I'm putting it out there!"

We hope Moore heals quickly and feels better soon! While we wait for her return to both the small screen and radio airwaves, catch up on everything she's been up to lately.
