Kelly Clarkson announces new album, releases two songs

If you've been waiting for more music from Kelly Clarkson, you're in luck.

On Thursday, Sept. 7, 2017, the former American Idol winner announced that she'd be dropping a brand new album, Meaning of Life, on Oct. 27. And, to prove she's seriously excited about her new record, the 35-year-old even released a brand new single, "Love So Soft," on iTunes that same day, along with a music video for the track. But that's not all! As E! News reported, fans who pre-order her album will also get a extra treat: another song from the record titled, "Move You."

Clarkson's new album could be the beginning of something big for the singer, as she'd previously left record label RCA Records and signed with Atlantic Records in June 2016.

In a video on Facebook Live, Clarkson explained her decision to switch over to Atlantic Records, stating, "What's cool about Atlantic Records is that they love every part of my personality, as far as all the colors of my voice."

She continued, "I love the country side of me, I love the Broadway side of me, I love the pop side of me and the soulful side of me—and they are down to make really whatever record I'm into, which is real rare. So, I'm super excited about it."

According to Billboard, Clarkson's Meaning of Life is "the album Kelly Clarkson was destined to make with Atlantic Records, a collection of smart and sensual soul-inspired pop that immediately belongs among the legendary label's classic canon."

Can't wait for this new era of Clarkson!
