Jonathan Rhys Meyers' Wife Mara Thanks Fans For Support Following Miscarriage

Jonthan Rhys Meyers' wife, Mara Lane, is grateful and healing.

Following the sad news of her recent miscarriage, the Modern Candy actress took to Instagram late on Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017, to thank fans for their love and support during this difficult time.

"To the showering of love received, thank you from bottom of our hearts," she wrote in the caption of a willow tree photo. "I am so humbled and got teary-eyed several times at how beautiful humans can be and so sad but hopeful with the stories shared of depression and miscarriage and addictions."

The actress, who shares 9-month-old son Wolf with Meyers, also posted a video of her sonogram. "I was very vulnerable in my last post as well as being at an all-time low and on such days I sometimes will feel the need for support," she continued. "So thank you for being so kind to me and being a safe place."

As Nicki Swift previously reported, Lane spoke out earlier in the week after her Vikings star husband, who has battled alcoholism for over a decade, relapsed following the miscarriage. The 40-year-old, who has been in rehab twice before, was caught "staggering around" a Dublin airport while allegedly "really intoxicated." As his wife revealed, he is now "safe and with his sober living companion and bodyguard to get into a detox."

"I was happy to come to my husband's defense," Lane continued on Tuesday, as Meyers gets the help he needs. "I could not sit back and see him attacked by Darkness publicly during such a tender time."

Lane also revealed how the two memorialized their loss, as the couple focuses on healing. "I have been given peace and Baby Willow is now planted in the tree in front of our home that has weeping long branches and leaves so we can brush our faces in soft leaves in passing or we can see the baby dance with the wind in the branches as they sway," she wrote. "It is helping me process the situation...as Nature does."
