Linkin Park Announce Chester Bennington Tribute Concert, Release 'One More Light' Music Video

Linkin Park will honor their late singer Chester Bennington.

According Entertainment Tonight, the rock band will host a concert at the Hollywood Bowl in California on Friday, Oct. 27, 2017. The one-night-only event will pay tribute to Bennington, who was recently honored by Jared Leto at the 2017 MTV VMAs. Featuring an as-of-yet unannounced line-up of musicians, proceeds will benefit the Music For Relief's One More Light Fund. For ticket information, visit LinkinPark.com.

The group also released a music video for "One More Light" on Monday, Sept. 18, which features Bennington performing live for fans and hanging out with his band mates. The song's moving lyrics are eerily fitting in light of his untimely death. "If they say who cares if one more light goes out in the sky of a million stars / It flickers, flickers," Bennington sang. "Who cares when someone's time runs out / If a moment is all we are, we're quicker, quicker / Who cares if one more light goes out / Well, I do."

"'One More Light' was written with the intention of sending love to those who lost someone. We now find ourselves on the receiving end," Linkin Park musician Mike Shinoda said in a statement. "In memorial events, art, videos, and images, fans all over the world have gravitated towards this song as their declaration of love and support for the band and the memory of our dear friend, Chester. We are so very grateful and can't wait to see you again."

As Nicki Swift previously reported, Bennington passed away on July 20, 2017 at 41 years old. He had died by suicide. In the days following his death, his band, who announced in August they were planning a public memorial for the singer, released a statement. "Our hearts are broken," they wrote. "The shockwaves of grief and denial are still sweeping through our family as we come to grips with what has happened. You touched so many lives, maybe even more than you realized."
