Miley Cyrus Drops New Single 'Week Without You'
The singer's latest sneak peek listen off of Younger Now is a dreamy breakup song.
Miley Cyrus released the new track "Week Without You" on Thursday, Sept. 21, 2017. With a super catchy chorus and Cyrus' signature crooning, the song shows the singer attempting to reconcile both the good and bad parts of a relationship.
"I know that I gave you my heart/ But you stomped it to the ground," the 24-year-old soulfully sang. "You know I'd miss you, baby/ Feels like I've known you since I was just seven years old/ You used to make me smile but now you don't do that anymore" (via Entertainment Tonight).
The "We Can't Stop" singer took to Instagram late Thursday to plug her new single. "Week without you is out everywhere!!!!!" she excitedly wrote, captioning a snapshot of herself.
Earlier this week, Cyrus also teased snippets of other tracks from her upcoming musical effort on social media, including "Bad Mood," "Love Someone," and "She's Not Him."
As Nicki Swift previously reported, the former Hannah Montana star announced in early August that her sixth studio album Younger Now would drop on Friday, Sept. 29. The highly anticipated record follows her previous experimentation with other soundscapes on 2013's hip-hop/pop heavy Bangerz, and her psychedelic collaboration with the Flaming Lips in 2015, Miley Cyrus and Her Dead Petz.
With the release of "Week Without You" following lead singles "Malibu"and "Inspired," as well as the titular track "Younger Now," it's clear that Younger Now will offer an eclectic return to Cyrus' country/western and traditional pop roots, with the throwback infusion of '50s influences.
While we wait for the pop star's new album to drop next week, catch up on what's really been going on with Miley Cyrus lately.
