The Bizarre Gift Andy Cohen Once Sent Colton Underwood

Former football player Colton Underwood rose to stardom after appearing on "The Bachelorette' and "Bachelor in Paradise," cementing his career when he secured the lead role for Season 23 of "The Bachelor." Underwood ended up with California native Cassie Randolph, and during their two-year relationship, they gave interviews discussing the topic of marriage. But that all fell apart in May 2020, and less than a year after their breakup, Underwood national headlines during an exclusive interview with Good Morning America where he revealed he is gay. "I've ran from myself for a long time, he told Robin Roberts. "I'm gay. And I came to terms with that earlier this year and have been processing it."

After making his brave announcement, Underwood received an outpouring of support from fans, family, and friends, per People. Bravo exec and gay icon Andy Cohen was one of the many people who reached out, making sure to show his support in a special — albeit unique — way.

Andy Cohen gifted Colton Underwood with a toaster

During E! News' segment "Down in the DMs" on May 12, Colton Underwood revealed the arguably odd and hilarious gift he received from host Andy Cohen after his coming out story. "[Andy] said, 'Congratulations. I'm going to send you a toaster.'"

The reality star explained that after their initial conversation he never actually got the toaster Cohen promised. Then one day it was magically delivered to his house. "I got an Oster toaster touch screen, and I posted it and he sent me a bunch of crying and clapping emojis." While the gesture was sweet, Underwood admitted he had no idea what was the meaning behind it. "I don't know where the reference comes from, still, but I have a new toaster and I'm really excited about that." However, the former NFL player added that he loves "a good appliance."

Now the star isn't the only one who gets to enjoy the appliance — as he now has a fiancé, Jordan Brown. The two got engaged in February, and they live in a home reportedly worth 3.2 million, per the New York Post.
