Tyrese Says He's 'Okay' Following Social Media Meltdown
The singer-actor is reportedly doing a little better since his public breakdown.
Hours after he shared a few emotional posts, including a video of him breaking down in tears, on social media, Tyrese (full name Tyrese Gibson) announced that he was alright, despite missing his 10-year-old daughter, Shayla.
"Contrary to what some of y'all may believe, I'm actually okay," Tyrese, 38, shared in a video on Instagram on Nov. 1, 2017. "And I'm not putting this up to calm people down. If people are having conversations about what's going on in my personal life... my private life has always been private. Do your research. Anybody who's ever been in my life will tell you, 'I've never seen him cry that way, I've never seen him have a meltdown.'"
He continued, "I'm not a singer, I'm not an actor, I'm not a producer, I'm not a writer, I'm not a celebrity. I'm a father. Okay? I'm a father, baby. It's a universal thing."
"So please, ladies, I love y'all. Our angels wouldn't be here if it wasn't for y'all," he noted. "But this is not about men vs. women. This is men vs. liars."
As Nicki Swift previously reported, Tyrese appeared to be in full-on meltdown mode earlier that same day. "Please don't take my baby!" Tyrese, who has been accused of child abuse by his ex-wife, cried. He also revealed that he's been struggling to find work because his ex has allegedly damaged his reputation.
However, Tyrese also fired off at his The Fate of the Furious co-star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, accusing him of messing with his daughter's "survival." Tyrese was, presumably, referencing the delayed release date of Fast9, which, he feels, is a result of Johnson's decision to sign on for a spinoff movie focusing on his character.
While we wait to see what comes of Tyrese's court case and his bad blood with Johnson, read up on where some of Hollywood's most famous feuds stand today.
