Elizabeth Potthast Has A Brother You Don't See On 90 Day Fiance
Ever since their first appearance on Season 5 of "90 Day Fiancé," Elizabeth "Libby" Potthast and her husband Andrei Castravet have become known to fans of TLC's hit reality television franchise for their international relationship. Simultaneously, the couple's occasionally tumultuous relationship with Libby's kin has put the Potthast family in the spotlight as well.
From Libby's father and the family patriarch, Chuck, to Libby's quarrelsome brother, Charlie (and not to mention Libby's acting career!), "90 Day Fiancé" viewers might think that they have learned all there is to know about the Potthasts, including their criminal records. We can't forget to mention Libby's two sisters, Becky and Jenn, here, but you might be surprised to know that Libby actually has a fourth sibling — another brother — who has managed to fly under the radar by choosing not to appear on camera with his family members on the popular reality series and its spinoffs.
His name is Mike Potthast
In an Instagram post from Elizabeth "Libby" Potthast's father, Chuck, the family patriarch is pictured standing beside a younger man who is dressed similarly and is of a similar height and build. In the caption, the younger man is identified as none other than Chuck's other son (and Libby's brother), Mike.
ScreenRant dug up some publicly available information (at the time) about Mike and found out that the additional sibling is a graduate of both the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and the University of Southern Florida. The outlet also noted he was a member of the Sigma Tau fraternity and is a 2019 graduate of the Vinik Sport & Entertainment Management Program from the Muma College of Business at USF.
As fans may know, Chuck works in the real estate industry. It seems that Mike followed in his father's footsteps, as his LinkedIn notes he is a licensed real estate agent working under Keller Williams in Tampa (where Libby and hubby Andrei also reside). He also has experience working for PGA TOUR and Minor League Baseball.
He appears to be close to his father
It is not apparent what Elizabeth "Libby" Potthast's relationship is with her brother Mike from her public social media accounts (where her posts typically focus on herself, her husband, and their daughter). However, their father, Chuck, has posted additional photos to Instagram with Mike tagged since the first photo that he posted identifying Mike, including a snap that shows the father and son duo smiling side by side while wearing Tampa Bay Buccaneers football jerseys.
In the first photo of Mike posted by Chuck to Instagram, it appears that Mike is a fan of the Tampa Bay Rays, since he is shown wearing a shirt with the "TB" logo of the baseball team. Moreover, the family patriarch's Instagram has also featured photos of his support for sports teams based in Tampa Bay, including the Buccaneers and the Rays.
From this, it seems that Libby's second brother isn't as aloof as his absence from television might suggest, and that he would prefer not to jeopardize his relationship with his family by appearing on TLC.
