David Cassidy Removed Daughter Katie From Will Before Death

The late singer clearly had a strained relationship with his daughter.

The Blast reports that David Cassidy took his daughter, Arrow star Katie Cassidy, out of his will sometime before his death, and it was no accident. The celeb gossip site notes that David made it clear in his last will and testament that none of his money or assets should go to Katie after he died. However, his son, Beau, will receive an inheritance.

While he acknowledged that Katie was his daughter in the legal docs, he stated, "It is my specific intent not to provide any benefits hereunder to Katherine Evelyn Cassidy and/or any descendent of Katherine Evelyn Cassidy."

Beau will reportedly receive about $150,000 is assets. David's three half-siblings will receive anything declared as "music memorabilia." According to The Blast, the will was originally filed in 2004.

As Nicki Swift previously reported, David passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017, after suffering from organ failure. He was 67 years old.

In February 2017, David opened up about his estranged relationship with his daughter. "I've never had a relationship with her," he told People. "I wasn't her father. I was her biological father but I didn't raise her."

He did say, however, that he was proud of Katie. "She's very talented," he said. 'It's hard for me to even accept how old she is now, like 30."

It's not known if David and Katie were able to grow closer before he passed.

After his death, Katie took to Twitter to share an update with her fans. "Words cant express the solace our family's received from all the love & support during this trying time," she wrote. "My father's last words were 'So much wasted time.'"
