Who Are Hailey Bieber's Famous Parents?

Hailey Bieber is married to one of the most famous men in the world, Justin Bieber, but she was also born into an incredibly well-known family. Hailey is the daughter of Stephen and Kennya Baldwin. She has one sister, Alaia, who is four years older than her and recently became a mother during the pandemic, according to Entertainment Tonight. Many entertainment fans are also familiar with Alec Baldwin, a well-known actor known for his roles in popular films such as "The Departed," who is Hailey's uncle.

When Hailey married Justin, it was unclear if she would keep her family name or take the singer's last name. It seemed to be a difficult decision for the model as she is close with her family, but she ultimately decided to take Bieber as her new last name. She told Bustle that it felt right as they were becoming a family. "I'm a little traditional and old school like that," Hailey said. Lucky for the model, her father didn't mind at all. "I asked my dad if he was going to be upset and he was like, 'No! I don't care. We love you. All good, everyone still knows you're a Baldwin,'" she explained.

While Hailey's relationship with her husband is seemingly always on display, it appears that her relationship with her parents is a bit more under the radar. So, who are Hailey's family parents and what is her relationship like with them?

Stephen Baldwin and Hailey Bieber haven't always seen eye-to-eye

Stephen Baldwin, just like his brother Alec Baldwin, is also an established actor known for his roles in films like "The Usual Suspects" and "Fred Claus," per IMDb. And he may also be a matchmaker! Hailey Bieber may have to thank her father for her happily-ever-after with husband Justin Bieber. Stephen first introduced Hailey and Justin at NBC's "Today" back in 2009 when they were just teenagers. They ended up reconnecting several years later and the rest is history.

And while Hailey appears to have a healthy relationship with her father, they haven't always agreed on everything. During the 2016 presidential election between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, the father-daughter duo were definitely not seeing eye-to-eye. Stephen made it clear that he was a Trump supporter, especially on social media, and Hailey had different political views. In a 2018 interview with The Times, Hailey said, "It was a very big issue for me, but my dad's still my dad. I would never let politics get in the way of family. It's over now, and his opinions have changed with how everything's now unfolding." Fortunately, they agreed to not speak about it at the time in order to avoid unnecessary arguments. Hailey's sister, Alaia, also disagreed with her father's political views.

Hailey Bieber is close with both of her parents at the end of the day

Despite any issues Hailey Bieber has experienced with her father, Stephen Baldwin, in the past, they seem to be in a good place now. In fact, when Justin Bieber proposed, she called her parents right after to ask if marrying him was a "crazy idea" since it all happened so fast. She previously recalled the conversation with her parents and said, "'Honestly, we think that this is meant to be for you and we know that this is what you want, so we trust you.' And I was like, alright," (via Yahoo! Entertainment).

Kennya Baldwin, Hailey's mother, is a Brazilian graphic designer and judging off of social media, their mother-daughter connection is incredibly strong. While Justin and Hailey Bieber were going through a difficult time early on in their marriage, Hailey confided in her mother and asked her for some much needed advice. In an interview, she explained, "She was so calm on the phone and she was like, 'It's going to pass, and you're going to be fine and he's going to be healthy and we're here for you,'" (via W magazine). Hailey revealed that without the support of her family, that difficult time in her life would have been "10 times harder." While Hailey and Justin's marriage appears to be in a much better place now, it's clear that she still values and cherishes the relationship she has with her parents even after getting married.
