Adam Levine recently found himself at the center of a cheating scandal, following claims that the married singer had an inappropriate relationship with model Sumner Stroh. Stroh made the shocking claims in a TikTok video posted on September 19, in which she claimed to have been involved in a year-long affair with the Maroon 5 frontman. Following the circulation of the clip, Levine released a statement adamantly denying Stroh's allegations.
"I used poor judgment in speaking with anyone other than my wife in ANY kind of flirtatious manner. I did not have an affair; nevertheless, I crossed the line during a regrettable period in my life," Levine wrote on his Instagram Story, via Entertainment Weekly. The "Moves Like Jagger" singer went on to admit that his exchanges with the model were sometimes "inappropriate," but suggested that he was taking steps to reconcile his marriage to Behati Prinsloo.
And while Levine's current quarrel appears to still be unfolding, many may recall a cheating rumor that previously involved the rock star and actor Jessica Simpson.

The recent scandal surrounding Adam Levine's alleged affair with Sumner Stroh is far from the first time the musician has been linked to a salacious claim. According to Us Weekly, "The Voice" judge had a brief fling with Jessica Simpson in 2004. The pair's rumored romance was messy, as the reports suggested that Simpson was still married to ex-husband Nick Lachey during that time. However, Simpson was allegedly spotted leaving a West Hollywood hotel where Levine was staying, wearing one of his T-shirts. And while Levine and Simpson have never publicly addressed the speculation surrounding their rumored affair, years later the "Dukes of Hazard" actor provided a different explanation for her split from Lachey.
"With Nick, I was 22 years old when we got married ... Once I started to get endorsement deals that were separate from him, there was a little bit of tension," Simpson told Entertainment Tonight. She went on to admit that both stars were "at fault" for their failed marriage, but she emphasized that she was happy for the former boy band member.

Simpson gushed over her love for the athlete during their 10-year anniversary in 2020, and called Johnson the "perfect man." The couple, who tied the knot in July 2014, welcomed their first child, Maxwell, in 2012. Since then, the pair have expanded their family with son Ace Knute, and daughter Birdie Mae, per People.
Meanwhile, Levine and his wife, Behati Prinsloo, have put on a united front amid their messy marital drama. Days after news of Levine's alleged affair made headlines, the Daily Mail obtained photos of the singer and Prinsloo walking happily together in Montecito.
