Megan Fox rose to fame in the 2007 blockbuster "Transformers" and her good looks were just as much of a talking point as her acting chops. But, Fox felt hypersexualized to the point that her mental health suffered. "I was so lost and trying to understand, like, how am I supposed to feel value or find purpose in this horrendous, patriarchal, misogynistic hell that was Hollywood at the time?" Fox said in an interview with The Washington Post.

Furthermore, when the actor spoke out about how "Transformers" director Michael Bay encouraged her to be "hot" or "sexy" on-set, she was criticized by the public (via Entertainment Tonight). Fox consequently cooled it on the acting front after starring in the 2009 horror flick "Jennifer's Body." It wasn't until meeting musician Machine Gun Kelly in 2021 that Fox felt empowered to step into the spotlight again, this time with an emphasis on her own autonomy in the wake of the #MeToo movement. "It is a little bit like being a phoenix, like being resurrected from the ashes," Fox told InStyle.

Three hundred and sixty degrees removed from Megan Fox is token funnyman Seth Rogen. Like Fox, he's often pigeonholed into a certain role, his being the "dopey stoner." But the actor has since matured — and as Mic pointed out, he's become a role model for other men in Hollywood. Given that Fox and Rogen exist on opposite ends of the acting spectrum, how do they interact with each other IRL?

Seth Rogen tried to kiss Megan Fox on Jimmy Kimmel Live

Yes, Megan Fox and Seth Rogen did co-star in the 2019 drama-comedy "Zeroville," but their awkward interaction didn't take place on-set. In fact, it predated "Zeroville" by more than a decade. In a 2009 interview with Us Weekly, Rogen explained how he'd been snubbed by Fox when they both appeared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" in 2007. Describing the pair's first in-person interaction, he said, "[Megan] literally came in to my dressing room in sweatpants and a T-shirt and everyone in the room stopped talking and stared." Being struck by Fox's good looks and charm, Rogen then decided to shoot his shot. "I thought to myself, 'When in my life will I ever get to kiss this woman? Now's my chance!' So I tried to do it, and to my memory, she physically stopped me from doing it and basically rejected me on television," he added. Ouch.

While Rogen likely intended for his kiss to be a lighthearted gesture, Fox was still struggling with her status as a sex symbol. "I think the first time around, when I was dealing with astronomical levels of fame, that in itself is a type of trauma ... It's easy to become very overwhelmed or get lost in that," the actor told Glamour in April, speaking of her previous experience with the media. Hopefully, Rogen's kiss-that-never-was didn't add to any existing trauma.

Seth Rogen has had LOL-worthy moments with other celebrities

For those wondering, Seth Rogen was able to brush off Megan Fox's rejection — though he joked that, "These last ... years have been rough" (via Us Weekly). But being a comedian, his awkward interactions aren't limited to Fox. In 2013, he and James Franco parodied Kanye "Ye" West's music video, "Bound 2," which featured then-wife Kim Kardashian looking all kinds of sexy on the back of a motorcycle. (Naturally, Rogen was the Kardashian of the video.) Equally awkward was the time that he and Franco co-starred in 2014's "The Interview," which was meant to be a satire of North Korea and the media.

In fact, Rogen has such a Rolodex of awkward encounters that he detailed these cringeworthy interactions in a 2021 memoir, "Yearbook." Highlights include peeing in a Snapple bottle outside Tom Cruise's house, and embarrassing himself in front of Beyoncé, per Comedy.com. "Am I kept up at night by the thought that Tom Cruise likely has video footage of me urinating in a Snapple bottle in my car? No," Rogen joked in the book. As for Queen B, Rogen made a point that, "I should have gone up to her like you would the queen or that giant bird creature in 'Harry Potter' that you have to bow to before you can fly around on it." But what did he do instead? Spilled his drink on himself. Honestly, it seems fitting.
