Inside Ivanka Trump's Relationship With Kimberly Guilfoyle

As with any big, blended household, the Trump family tree can get complicated. Per People, Donald Trump wed Ivana Trump in 1977, and the couple had three children together: Ivanka, Don Jr., and Eric Trump. The Don cheated on Ivana with Marla Maples, who became his second wife following a messy split from Ivana. Even their daughter, Tiffany Trump, wasn't enough to keep the marriage together. While he was reportedly still in the process of divorcing Maples, Donald began dating Slovenian-born model Melania Knauss, who would go on to become wife No. 3. The two would go on to welcome one son in Barron Trump. Still tracking?

One presidency and one unsuccessful campaign run later, things in the Trump household are complicated. And the already-nuanced relationships between the siblings become even more convoluted when you throw their significant others into the mix. Ivanka is married to Jared Kushner, who served as senior advisor in the Trump administration. He also oversaw the one-time president's 2020 re-election campaign, but has been distancing himself from Donald after the latter announced his intent to run in 2024. However, both Eric and Don Jr.'s significant others remain involved in politics.

Don Jr.'s fiancée, Kimberly Guilfoyle, has been a staple on the campaign trail. A former Trump 2020 campaign advisor, she played a role in financing the January 2020 rally that ultimately fueled the Capitol riot. So what does Ivanka think of her future sister-in-law?

Is there bad blood between Ivanka Trump and Kimberly Guilfoyle?

As the ex-wife of California governor Gavin Newsom, Kimberly Guilfoyle is accustomed to the political sphere, but does that make her a good fit for Donald Trump Jr.? Rumor has it that the Trumps aren't fans of Guilfoyle. "The vibe is that the family doesn't like Kim," a source told Page Six. "She is trying too hard to be in the family." This was seemingly substantiated by the fact that when Trump Jr. threw a holiday bash with his wife-to-be, Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner opted out. However, the Daily Mail noted that the party clashed with the Jewish Sabbath. "[Ivanka and Kimberly] have a good relationship. It's just the rumor mill," a source told the outlet.

Relations between Ivanka and Guilfoyle may still not be kosher, though. Guest of a Guest suggests that the pair has feuded from everything over similar outfits to political aspirations. It's true that as Ivanka has taken a step back from the campaign trail, Guilfoyle has seized the opportunity to take a larger role in the family's politics, including speaking at CPAC in 2022.

But Ivanka really got people's tongues wagging when she cropped Guilfoyle out of a photo from Tiffany Trump's wedding in November, per Page Six. Guilfoyle was pictured in another snap wearing a black dress, while all the other ladies were rocking pastel shades. Maybe she didn't get the memo?

Reports of tension between Ivanka Trump and Kimberly Guilfoyle are just rumors

Ivanka Trump seems to be intent on reassuring fans that things between her and Kimberly Guilfoyle are amicable. Soon after she posted the edited wedding snap (sans Guilfoyle), the Daily Mail reported that she shared the original photo to her Instagram Stories. "The two women are very close and Kimberly has really become part of the Trump family. When Ivanka realized what happened, she immediately reposted the photo," a source revealed, adding that the two "really have a wonderful relationship," and that "Ivanka loves Kimberly." Likewise, Eric Trump debunked claims that the Trumps don't like Guilfoyle. "I completely disagree with the narrative and happen to think the world of Kimberly," he told Page Six, after Ivanka's social media gaffe made headlines.

Meanwhile, Guilfoyle is all about being a good partner to Donald Trump Jr. "I love taking care of Don, the way I saw my mother lovingly take care of my father," she said in an interview with Metropolitan Palm Beach Luxury Magazine. "I go out of my way to make sure he has everything he needs — making coffee in the morning, cooking our favorite meals, doing our family laundry and caring for our home." She additionally noted that Junior loves her "traditional yet fiercely independent" nature. Another source called them the "prom king and queen of MAGA land," according to Business Insider. At least, Ivanka can likely confirm her brother is well suited for Guilfoyle.
