Bethenny Frankel Slams Hilaria Baldwin's Behavior Amid Husband Alec's Criminal Charges

In 2020, Hilaria came under fire for allegedly faking her Spanish accent and giving people the false impression she was born in Spain, per Page Six. After some digging, internet sleuths revealed she was from Massachusets, and one came forward as her high-school classmate, sharing that she was then known as Hillary Hayward-Thomas. Hilaria took to social media to defend her accent, telling fans she grew up in Boston and Spain and spent her life speaking both Spanish and English.

Hilaria got slammed again in late January for her Spanish accent when talking to reporters outside her home in New York City. As shared by news correspondent Mike Carter on Twitter, the media was waiting to hear comments from the Baldwin family following Alec's involuntary manslaughter charge for the accidental shooting on the set of "Rust" in 2021. "On a human level, you guys know I'm not going to say anything to you. You know that. So please leave my family in peace and let this all play out," Hilaria pleaded with the reporters.

Fans were quick to poke fun at Hilaria's fluctuating accent and the former star of the "Real Housewives of New York City," Bethenny Frankel, shared her opinions about the American yoga instructor.

Bethenny Frankel wants Hilaria to cop to her fake accent

Bethenny Frankel is not a fan of Hilaria Baldwin and she's not afraid to show it. During her "Just B" podcast episode, the former reality star revealed that she had met Hilaria years ago and believed she was Spanish. "She let everybody believe that she was from Spain. I thought she was of Latin descent, I didn't know it was about Spain. I just knew that she had an accent. So it sounds like she's allowing everybody to believe she really is of Spanish descent," Frankel shared.

The Skinnygirl founder went on to say that Hilaria is not holding herself "accountable" by continuing to use her accent. "Can't she just cop and say, 'I went too far' ... I know firsthand that she will not cop. It's not her character," she added. Frankel shared her belief that Hilaria loves the media attention and called her out for going out in "giant sweatshirts to coffee houses in a blowout in weird outfits," overshadowing Alec Baldwin's criminal charges. "I really, really feel bad for him. Somehow, thankfully, she has trumped his story with the 'Hilaria-ness' of this and the liar that she seems to be," Frankel mused.

Hilaria opened up about the tragic "Rust" shooting on her podcast, "Witches Anonymous" and shared that it was an "emotional time" for the Baldwin family, thanking fans for their support. As reported by NBC, Alec Baldwin is expected to be formally charged on January 31.
