What Harvey Weinstein's Ex-Wife Georgina Chapman Is Doing Now

When allegations about Harvey Weinstein's sexual abuse came to the forefront, the ramifications were tremendous. Dozens of celebrities revealed their traumatic experiences with the disgraced producer. On a wider scale, these events contributed to the rise of the #MeToo movement. One person dramatically impacted by the revelations was Weinstein's wife, Georgina Chapman. In an interview with Vogue, Chapman admitted that she was unaware of Weinstein's behavior. Chapman said, "I've never been one of those people who obsesses about where someone is." She described her rollercoaster of emotions, saying, "I have moments of rage, I have moments of confusion, I have moments of disbelief! And I have moments when I just cry for my children. What are their lives going to be?"

In 2017, Chapman confirmed that she was breaking up with Weinstein, per People. In 2018, Chapman received approximately $15-20 million in a divorce settlement. Four years later, their divorce was finalized. In addition Chapman got primary custody of their two children, India and Dashiell. At the time of their split, she told People, "My heart breaks for all the women who have suffered tremendous pain because of these unforgivable actions. I have chosen to leave my husband. Caring for my young children is my first priority and I ask the media for privacy at this time."

Since her divorce, Chapman has largely maintained a low profile. However, she hasn't completely stayed out of the spotlight.

Inside Georgina Chapman and Adrien Brody's romance

Following her divorce from Harvey Weinstein, Georgina Chapman welcomed a new beau into her life. In 2019, rumors circulated that she was dating actor Adrien Brody. Their relationship became official in 2020, per People. An insider told the outlet, "She thinks he's unusual and interesting. She finds [him] to be an interesting person with a deep passion for his work that is similar to hers." From their 2021 red carpet debut at Tribeca Film Festival to their appearance at the 2021 Met Gala, the couple has been spotted out and about on multiple occasions. Chapman showed her support for Brody's career by accompanying him to the 2021 Cannes Film Festival for the premiere of his film "The French Dispatch," per People. Donning black ensembles, the pair locked lips as they strutted down the red carpet. As of October 2022, Chapman and Brody were still dating, per the Daily Mail.

Brody and Chapman have shared plenty of special moments together, too. In September 2022, they attended the Venice Film Festival for Brody's film "Blonde," and documented their romantic trip, per Vogue. Chapman said, "I was lost in the city's magic through the sensory experience from the engrossing architecture, labyrinth of canals, and incredible cuisine."

Georgina Chapman's brand Marchesa made a comeback

Georgina Chapman co-founded the label Marchesa in 2004. The brand sells glamorous gowns worn by Hollywood's biggest stars. In an interview with Whitewall Media, the fashion designer talked about her passion, saying, "What I really enjoy doing — and perhaps that's why I did feel that costume would be my forte at one time — is I enjoyed doing elaborate clothing." Yet following Harvey Weinstein's sexual abuse allegations, the brand took a dive. Because fans believed that Chapman had knowledge of her ex-husband's misconduct, they demanded celebrities boycott the brand, per the Daily Mail. Marchesa postponed its Spring/Summer preview, with celebrities opting to no longer wear the clothing. Marchesa co-founder Keren Craig also departed the fashion house in 2019.

However, the line made a comeback in 2023, with stars like Chelsea Handler and Laura Prepon donning dresses to major events, according to the Daily Mail. But even before that, some celebrities continued to support the brand. Scarlett Johansson, who wore Marchesa at the 2018 Met Gala, released a statement that said, "I wore Marchesa because their clothes make women feel confident and beautiful, and it is my pleasure to support a brand created by two incredibly talented and important female designers." Chapman wore a black dress from her own brand to a 2023 Grammys party, per Page Six. As far as her recent activity with the brand, Chapman has stayed somewhat private, as she hasn't updated her Marchesa Instagram page since 2017.
