Nicole Kidman and Naomi Watts are two of the biggest names in Hollywood, but some people may not know that the two also happen to be BFFs. Both ladies have countless film roles to their name though Kidman has a little bit more of an edge over Watts. Watts has 92 acting credits to her name, whereas Kidman boasts 98 acting credits, and it's safe to say that their careers are far from over.

Upon moving to Australia, Watts began her career in acting, and there's no doubt that it was a great move for her. Watts has starred in a mix of Australian and American films, and she has also dabbled in modeling. In turn, most of us are well aware that Nicole Kidman has deep roots in Australia, but there's a little-known fact that Kidman was actually born in Hawaii to only later move to Australia and get that super cool accent.
If you're keeping track, the stars aligned for Kidman and Watts when they both landed a role in the film "Flirting." Kidman played a leading role with the character Nicola while Watts had more of a supporting role as Janet Odgers. In any case, that movie helped kick-start their special bond.

The two forged a friendship that has stuck through the ages, and they have not been shy about singing one another's praises. In a 2017 interview with People, Watts told the outlet that she and Kidman already knew each other before filming "Flirting," but the movie brought them a lot closer together. "We've gone through a lot together over a significant amount of time. That history binds you," she shared of their longtime friendship. "We have a strong respect and love for one another." Furthermore, the two also share a close bond since their children are around the same ages. So when they get together, you can imagine it's a good time. "If you hang out with us, you'll have fun, I'll promise you that," Watts told the outlet.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight Canada, Watts also expressed her desire to team up with Kidman again, seeing as they only starred together in one movie back in 1991. "We've been talking about it for too long. We've got to make it happen," she told the outlet, explaining that it would be cool to hang out with Kidman a lot, even if it was on set.

Naomi Watts and Nicole Kidman are so close that Watts presented Kidman with the Crystal Award for Excellence in Film in 2015, per People. But it was only fitting that Kidman sang Watts' praises before the show. "We've known each other since we were teenagers. And actually, when I was thinking about it, I was like, it's like my sister giving me this award tonight," Kidman told the outlet. "We're like sisters. I mean, we've known each other for so long, through so many things." Adorbs!
Watts returned the favor later in the evening as she toasted Kidman for her "unwavering" support over the years. "She took me under her wing, and she made me her sister. Her smaller sister. Nicole epitomizes for me the word sisterhood," Watts gushed over her BFF before calling her a "woman's woman." She also reiterated the fact that Kidman is "highly spirited" and loves to have a good time.
In 2021, Kidman took to her Instagram stories to wish her pal the best on her birthday. "Can't wait to hug you again xx," she wrote on the upload that included a heart and birthday cake emoji. The post also featured a photo of the two women caught in an embrace. Such an incredible duo!
