Inside Michelle Yeoh's Relationship With Longtime Partner, Jean Todt

Michelle Yeoh has long been a talent in Hollywood. She broke through in the 2000 film "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon," but her role as Evelyn Wang in "Everything Everywhere All At Once" had people grabbing their buckets of popcorn and finding the best seat in the theater. Since the massive hit film was released, Yeoh has racked up some of the biggest awards an actor can receive. She has won a Golden Globe and is nominated at the 2023 Oscars. Everywhere people look, Yeoh is undoubtedly on their screen, and people are becoming more curious about her romantic life. Well, we're here to fill you in on all the details.

Before her current relationship, Yeoh had been married to a businessman from Hong Kong named Dickson Poon, per Hollywood Life. The couple married in 1988, and during this time, Yeoh decided to put her acting career on the back burner. It's unclear as to what caused the couple to separate, but after four years of marriage, they decided to split. Yeoh took her time to jump back into the dating scene and began seriously seeing her longtime partner, Jean Todt, in 2004. Throughout her rise to stardom, Todt has been by his leading lady's side, and many people have taken notice. So, here's everything we know about Yeoh's relationship with her partner, Todt.

Michelle Yeoh and Jean Todt balance each other out

Maybe your partner can cook and you're better at cleaning, or perhaps they're better at finances and you're better at fixing things. Regardless, there always seems to be a balance in relationships, even if you're an A-list celebrity.

The talented Michelle Yeoh seems like she can do anything she sets her mind to, but there is one thing that the "Everything Everywhere All At Once" actor struggles with. Yeoh told Town & Country that she is a terrible driver. She's so bad that the actor has gone to serious lengths to hide her driver's license. She shared, "I'm hopeless. I've taken my own license and put it in the safe." Luckily, for Yeoh, she will most likely never have to set foot behind the wheel. This is because her longtime partner, Jean Todt, was the former president of Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile.

According to Fia University, Todt held the presidential position from 2009 until 2021. So, he's had a lot of experience with cars and getting behind the wheel. With Yeoh's incapability to drive and Todt's expertise in driving, the couple balance each other out. Of course, Todt's skills behind the wheel swooned the actor, but she also revealed to Town & Country that she fell for his sense of humor and blue eyes. The couple is the perfect match, and since they have been together since 2004, it's only a matter of time before they tie the knot.

Michelle Yeoh and Jean Todt are on the road to wed

Since they met in 2004, Michelle Yeoh and Jean Todt knew they were made for one another. So much so, the couple decided to get engaged one year later, per Town & Country. Nearly 18 years have passed, and the couple has yet to walk down the aisle, and people are curious about when they will get married.

Rumors swirled the couple would get married in 2022, although Yeoh never confirmed the speculation, she did share that she and Todt were "thinking" about it, per Town & Country. Now that 2022 has passed, fans are still waiting for the pair to say, "I do," and Todt is in the same boat. Yeoh revealed the businessman has continued to count the number of days since they got engaged as he hopes the wedding will be in the future. The actor constantly jokes with Todt about how long their engagement has been. She said, "I'll ask him, 'What is the present for 6,725 days?'" With how much time has passed, the gift is bound to be big.

While Yeoh wants to make the ultimate commitment too, she shared that she and Todt have just been extremely busy. Seeing as Yeoh is having one of the biggest years in her career, the wedding may be pushed back even further. But, we're crossing our fingers that the end of 2023 will be when the couple will tie the knot.

Michelle Yeoh became a stepmom to Jean Todt's son

Michelle Yeoh not only welcomed Jean Todt into her life when they began dating in 2004, but the "Crazy Rich Asians" actor also welcomed his son, Nicolas Todt. Before he fell madly in love with Yeoh, Jean was previously married and had a child with his ex-wife in 1977, according to Hollywood Life. Then, in 2004, the "Everything Everywhere All At Once" actor became a stepmother figure of sorts to an almost 30-year-old adult.

By the time she began her relationship with Jean, Nicolas had already begun following in his father's footsteps. Nicolas founded All Roads Management in 2003 and is currently a French motorsport owner. So, it's truly like father, like son. Since Nicolas was older, he continued to live a life separate from all the Hollywood glamour, but that doesn't mean he and Yeoh aren't close.

Based on the actor's Instagram, she and the now 45-year-old have hangouts with one another. In December 2020, Yeoh posted a photo of her, Jean, and Nicolas out to dinner. She captioned the post, "With my Todt boys and the best dinner." This night out on the town was probably special for the two, as they live extremely busy lives. However, they clearly have a great relationship with one another, and this is sure to make Jean happy.
