What Poppy Harlow's Husband Sinisa Babcic Really Does For A Living
"CNN This Morning" anchor Poppy Harlow never passes up an opportunity to gush over her husband of more than a decade, Sinisa Babcic. However, other than being a doting husband and dad to their two children, what more do we know about Harlow's hubby?
Back in July 2022, Harlow took to Instagram to share a sweet snap with her family in the town of Piran, Slovenia. "Wedding bells in this spot 10 years ago," she wrote. The day before, she'd posted a pic of herself kissing a beaming Babcic on the cheek, captioned, "My love. Same place. 10 years later." That Harlow was ready to share snippets of their anniversary trip with the world was understandable, given the occasion. However, it was far from the first time she'd shouted her love for Babcic from the rooftops. Far from it, she's also been known to share sweet pictures of Babcic and their kids on fun family trips, or even when they're just hanging out at home.
It's pretty clear, then, that like Harlow, Babcic is a hands-on parent. However, while family time is undoubtedly his top priority, that's not the only thing keeping him busy. So, just what does Harlow's husband do for a living?
He's a high-level consulting leader
Sinisa Babcic might not be a public figure in the same sense that his wife is, but when it comes to his own area of expertise, he's pretty well known. Case in point: he heads up the American division of EY's wealth management consulting department. If the name didn't already sound familiar, we'll put it that into perspective — EY falls into the famed "Big Four" of accounting firms. It's not all that surprising, then, that Babcic's profile on the EY website notes that as a leader, his primary focus is on the most powerful tech and finance companies in the country. Not too shabby!
Babcic's work with his EY clients isn't the only thing he's got going on, though. He also represents the firm for one of the non-profits EY supports, The Adams Street Foundation at the Urban Assembly School for Law & Justice. The non-profit focuses on giving students the best chance at thriving through their education ... and thanks to his connections, Babcic has been able to shine a spotlight on it, in the past.
Back in 2020, Babcic enlisted Poppy Harlow to host a virtual benefit in support of the school. In her Instagram post announcing her involvement, the CNN anchor gushed over the non-profit and its students, and thanked her husband for getting her involved. How's that for a couple that supports each other?
... and he's also a super supportive spouse
Speaking of supportiveness, that's something that goes both ways in this relationship.
As "CNN This Morning" viewers will remember, back in 2021, Poppy Harlow took a brief hiatus from the channel to focus on her studies. Harlow made the announcement during a live broadcast, explaining, "I'm going to study law for a Master's degree ... It's something I've wanted to do for a long time. And if this year and a half has taught me anything, it is, why not try!" In the same announcement, she thanked Sinisa Babcic for his support through her journey, acknowledging that her break would add a ton more work to his already-packed schedule, but that he'd been more than happy to do it if it meant she could pursue her dreams. That was a sentiment she echoed months later, once her program had wrapped up. In an Instagram post thanking everyone who made the journey to getting her Master's possible, she finished up by crediting Babcic, once again. "To my beloved husband Sinisa who made it all possible. I adore you," she wrote.
So, just what does Babcic do? EY Higher-up, partner at a worthy cause, encouraging spouse and dedicated dad ... perhaps a better question to ask would be, what doesn't he do.
