How Many Kids Does Porsha Williams' Husband Simon Guobadia Have?
There were gasps heard all around Atlanta when Porsha Williams announced she was dating Simon Guobadia in May 2021. "Our relationship began a month ago — yes we are crazy in love. I know it's fast but we are living life each day to its fullest. I choose happiness every morning and every night," she announced on Instagram. Williams went on to defend her new relationship by telling fans that Guobadia filed for divorce from her "RHOA" co-star Falynn Pina in January. "Falynn and I are not friends, and Simon's divorce has been settled. Our relationship is a positive, loving step forward in everybody's lives," Williams stated.
Williams and Guobadia had a traditional Nigerian ceremony on November 25, 2022, and then had an American wedding in Atlanta the following day. After their nuptials, Guobadia became a step-father to Williams' daughter Pilar, whom she shares with her ex-fiance Dennis McKinley. Williams also became a step-parent to Guobadia's children, making them one big, blended family. However, his family tree is a bit more complex and Guobadia is the father to children from multiple past partners.
Simon Guobadia has five children from previous relationships
Simon Guobadia loves love. Prior to tying the knot with Porsha Williams, the Nigerian-American was married to three other women. Guobadia's first wife was Karron English, whom he married at the age of 29, while she was 26 years old. The two exes were married for 20 years and share two children, Nicole and Quentin. Unfortunately, it appears that Guobadia and Nicole are estranged and he removed all pictures of her from his Instagram. He does, however, appear to be close with Quentin, who walked him down the aisle during his American wedding ceremony to Williams.
Guobadia went on to have his sons Christian and Benjamin, although it's unclear who their mother is. His second wife was Connie Andrade-Rivera, with whom he shares his youngest daughter, Ximena. The mother and daughter were once featured in Redbook when Ximena was just three years old. "She's multiracial with curly hair, and that will always set her apart. I just encourage her to be her," Andrade-Rivera said of Ximena. Guobadia and his ex-wife still appear to be amicable with each other and they shared a friendly Christmas dinner with their daughter in 2018. "My 6 year old, Ximena and her mum took me out to dinner and gave me my Christmas gifts," he shared on Instagram. Although Guobadia doesn't seem to have a relationship with his eldest daughter, he regularly spends time with his four other children and often boasts about how proud he is of them on social media.
Simon Guobadia's kids graduated with honors
It's not easy sharing multiple kids with different ex-wives but Simon Guobadia is doing his best to co-parent with them. In May 2022, he praised his children for graduating with honors and gave his exes a shout-out for being great role models. "Thanks to both moms for working with me to co-parent these exceptionally gifted children. Learning to put our children first has not only been good for our children, but has been good for us individually. Co-parenting is not easy because we have to navigate our personal issues to get to a place that allow for our kids to become priority," he wrote.
While he doesn't always get to spend time with his kids, Guobadia makes sure that his moments with them count. On February 14, he took his son Benjamin to a basketball game. "Great game night out with my son, Benjamin. Turns out this kid likes to heckle and trash talk, Hawks opposing team. Who knew," he shared on Instagram. In July 2022, he treated his kids to a trip to Costa Rica on a private jet. "Wheels up," he wrote while posing with Christian, Benjamin, and Ximena. Although five kids is a handful, it appears Guobadia is ready for more with Porsha Williams. Sharing a throwback picture of a younger Ximena, he captioned, "I recall Ximena at this age. I'm ready for another one. Where are you @porsha4real." Perhaps Pilar has a "big sister" title waiting for her in the near future.
