RHONJ: Where Do Danielle Staub And Andy Cohen Stand Today?
"The Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Danielle Staub once said, "You're either gonna love me or hate me. There is no in-between with me," and her former castmates have certainly had their opinions about the outspoken reality star. During Season 1, Staub alienated most of the cast members with her abrasive personality. After hearing some rumors about her shady past, sisters Caroline and Dina Manzo managed to get their hands on a true crime tell-all that detailed Staub's criminal history.
Staub left the show after Season 2 and returned in a "friend of" capacity for Seasons 8 through 10. While she got along better with the housewives this time around, she butted heads with her friend-turned-enemy Margaret Josephs. During Season 10, their beef culminated in Staub viciously pulling Joseph's ponytail. She announced her departure from "RHONJ," but many fans believe she was fired for putting her hands on another cast member. Although her feud with the other housewives was the reason for her second dramatic exit, she later had surprising things to say about longtime producer Andy Cohen.
Danielle Staub accused Andy Cohen of causing her pain
When Danielle Staub announced her departure from "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" after Season 10 in 'Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen," the producer looked surprised, but seemed to be on friendly terms with her. "It's time for me to leave and I want to do what makes my heart happy every day and so I will never be returning as a housewife again — with the Jersey girls," she told Andy Cohen.
Cohen seemed to support her decision but months later, Staub wrote a scathing post about him on her Instagram. "I finally open up about @bravoandy. I am no longer forced to walk into the Lions Den! Andy kept me In the dark long enough! He has taken whats mine and given it to others!" she wrote. Staub went on to say that he caused her and her family "pain" and accused him of mocking and defaming her. "I've been waiting for you to revere me, I've even gone as far as to ask you to be kinder and more gentle with me but it fell on deaf ears ... I don't honor you and I won't defend you," she continued, telling fans to listen to her podcast for more details. True to her promise, Staub revealed why she felt betrayed by Cohen and shared some NSFW assertions about his personal life.
Danielle Staub claimed Andy Cohen did some serious partying
Danielle Staub has a major ax to grind with Andy Cohen. On "Danielle Staub, Absolutely," the former "RHONJ" star shared that she believed she had a tight relationship with Cohen but stated that he "played" her and allowed her castmates to dig into her past, without giving her a heads-up.
Staub also shaded Cohen's parenting and told listeners, "Is Andy ready for his son to know who he is? Because the Andy I know would hit up Grindr and go on three or four Grindr dates an evening." She continued with, "I don't even want to talk about the drugs and the partying, not now anyway but we can get back to that ... I'm not talking about marijuana ... I'm talking about, like, things that I've been accused of doing and he allowed to happen while he was doing the same things that he was accusing me of, or allowing other people to accuse me of."
While he didn't respond to Staub's claims, Cohen shaded her right back on his radio show "Andy Cohen Live" when asked about her appearance in "The Housewife and the Hustler" in regard to Erika Jayne. "I will say the idea that Danielle Staub and Dana Wilkey are the experts in this documentary about Erika is questionable at best," he replied. It appears that there's no love lost between Staub and Cohen and it should be safe to say we won't be seeing her back on "RHONJ" again.
