Melania Trump Once Had A Crude Nickname For Stormy Daniels
Stormy Daniels previously claimed she and former president Donald Trump had an affair in 2006. It was then reported that Daniels received $130,000 in hush money to keep the intimate encounter private. It is rumored that Trump paid Daniels to keep his marriage to Melania Trump intact.
While the hush money may have been given to Daniels legally, the proximity of the payment to the 2016 presidential election indicated that some campaign finance laws were potentially broken. On March 30, 2023, Trump became the first president in America's history to be criminally indicted. Daniels tweeted her thoughts and feelings on the news. "Thank you to everyone for your support and love!" she wrote. "I have so many messages coming in that I can't respond...also don't want to spill my champagne."
Melania has been staying out of her husband's legal issues but reportedly isn't happy about any of it. In fact, she has some strong opinions about the reported affair, along with a pretty nasty nickname for Daniels.
Melania Trump called Stormy Daniels a 'porn hooker'
In October 2020, Melania Trump's former advisor Stephanie Winston Wolkoff leaked a secretly recorded conversation from 2018 between the two on Michael Cohen's "Mea Culpa" podcast. In the conversation, Melania called Stormy Daniels a vulgar nickname. "Go Google and read it," she said in the recording. "Annie Leibovitz shot the 'porn hooker,' and she will be [in] one of the [Vanity Fair] issues, September or October." Wolkoff asked who the former first lady was referring to, and Melania replied: "Stormy."
Shortly after the recording was leaked, Daniels took to Twitter to respond to the nickname Melania gave her. "Hahaha!" she wrote. "Although I wasn't paid for sex and therefore technically not a 'hooker,' I'll take being that over what you are any day ... Keep talking about me." She ended her tweet with "#bebest," in reference to an initiative Melania launched during her time as first lady.
Former president Donald Trump also fired back with a nickname of his own for the adult film star. During a March 25 rally in Waco, Texas, he discussed the allegations against him, as well as the investigation, denying that he did anything illegal. "I never liked 'Horseface,'" he then said, claiming that he wouldn't cheat on his wife with a woman like Daniels.
Melania Trump stays strong amid the chaos surrounding her husband
Once Stormy Daniels went public with her story about former president Donald Trump, other women came forward with their stories. Natasha Stoynoff of People claimed Trump harassed her when she was interviewing him. Multiple contestants from the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants, as well as Summer Zervos from "The Apprentice," also claimed he harassed and touched them without consent — all while being married to Melania Trump.
Now that the former president has been indicted and his affair with Daniels has been out in the open, it was reported that Melania has been trying to keep an optimistic attitude about it all. "She remains angry and doesn't want to hear [the alleged hush money payment] mentioned," a source told People. "She is aware of who her husband is and keeps her life upbeat with her own family and a few close friends."
Melania has previously held her head high amid the numerous infidelity allegations against her husband over the years. "I'm a mother and a first lady, and I have much more important things to think about and to do," she told "Good Morning America" in 2018. "It is not [a] concern and focus of mine."
Stormy Daniels once threw a jab at Melania Trump's marriage
While Melania Trump and Stormy Daniels are not on good terms, Daniels seems to have smoothed things over with one key figure from Donald Trump's camp. Michael Cohen, Donald's former lawyer who paid Daniels the infamous hush money back in 2016, patched up his differences with her in 2021. During an episode of his "Mea Culpa" podcast, Cohen apologized, saying, "You and I both went through h*** and back. I'm sorry for the needless pain I put you through."
In the interview, Daniels also slammed Melania. Cohen asked Daniels how she'd address her, referring to a previous interview he did with Stephanie Winston Wolkoff. When Wolkoff told Cohen that the former first lady called Daniels a "porn hooker," Daniels said Melania was the "exact same thing." Daniels added that she "sold her soul" by tying the knot with Donald.
Although Melania has made her opinion on Daniels crystal clear, she hasn't given the star much attention. And she doesn't seem to have let Daniels' comments affect her too deeply. In light of Donald's indictment, she's been staying close to her husband. She was recently seen going to dinner with him at his Mar-a-Lago resort, per the New York Post.
