Lori Harvey Was Engaged When She Was Younger (pre-Michael B. Jordan Romance)

Michael B. Jordan and Lori Harvey were once the definition of a picture-perfect couple. But with Harvey walking away from the relationship, fans might be surprised to learn that she had a very serious relationship prior to dating the actor.

With Jordan and Harvey, onlookers couldn't help but gush during the handful of times that they decided to share snippets of their romance. When asked if there was an instant connection, Harvey shared to Bustle that she was attracted to him when they met. "I was like, 'He's cute!'" she shared. Her dad, legendary host Steve Harvey, apparently approved of Jordan, too. Meanwhile, Jordan, who's usually discreet when it comes to his love life, publicly admitted that he was head over heels in love with the model. "Do you love Lori Harvey?" Steve asked him in a Paper Magazine feature. "Oh, man. I do. For sure," he said.

The two dated for over a year, and things appeared to be getting serious. Unfortunately though, Jordan and Harvey broke up in 2022. A source shared that the "Black Panther" star was ready to take things further, but Harvey wasn't. And as it turns out, it's not the first time Harvey turned her back on the idea of settling down.

Lori Harvey was briefly engaged to soccer star Memphis Depay

Lori Harvey actually almost got married when she was only 20 years old. At the time, she was in a relationship with international soccer player Memphis Depay, who proposed after a year of dating. "I'm 20 and my fiancé is 23 for everyone asking... yes we are young, but when it's right, why wait?" Harvey announced on Twitter in 2017. "Young and in love @Memphis."

But the following year, Harvey was spotted without a ring in sight, leading many to believe that the engagement had been called off. There was no formal announcement that they called it quits, but in a 2022 feature on Bumble's "Luv2SeeIt" YouTube series, the SKN founder confessed that she was too naive when she got engaged. "I felt like I hadn't really experienced anything. I didn't really know myself, I didn't really know what I liked, what I didn't like," she admitted. "I just feel like I hadn't really experienced life."

And while the relationship failed, it taught her an important lesson. "I grew up a lot and I learned a lot from that relationship," she told Bustle. "And so, I think just as I've gotten older and developed as a woman, I've taken that knowledge with me: learning what I like, what I don't like, and just applying that to where I'm at now."

Lori Harvey has been linked to multiple high-profile personalities since

After she and Memphis Depay called it quits, Lori Harvey had been involved in brief flings with a string of famous men. She reportedly dated Trey Songz from December 2018 to February 2019 and Sean "Diddy" Combs for a few months in 2019. She was also linked to rapper Future, but neither of them confirmed that they were together aside from a vague Instagram Story.

Her first serious relationship since her engagement, as we all know, was with Michael B. Jordan, but that, too, fizzled out. "Michael matured a lot over the course of their relationship and was ready to commit for the long term. He let down his guard with her, opening up emotionally in a romantic relationship for the first time," a source told People when they broke up.

Now it looks like Harvey has moved on to "Snowfall" actor Damson Idris, with the couple making it official in January 2023 after attending Harvey's 26th birthday party together. However, it doesn't look like Harvey is looking to walk down the aisle anytime soon. In a 2022 interview with Essence, she said that at this time, her priority is herself. "[I'm praying] to be the best version of myself, so that one day, when I am ready, I will be the woman that I need to be for that union to be successful," she declared. "But right now, I'm just praying to better my life for myself."
