Ewan McGregor's Daughter Calls His Girlfriend A 'Piece Of Trash'

Ewan McGregor's daughter Clara is not mincing her words.

On Monday, July 9, 2018, the Moulin Rouge star's eldest daughter dissed his new girlfriend and Fargo co-star, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, in the Instagram comments section of a fan account's post.

"Most beautiful and talented woman on earth???" the 22-year-old model wrote in response to a photo of Winstead, who had been praised as such on the fan's profile page (via E! News). "Oh man y'all are delusional," Clara continued, alongside three laugh-cry emojis. "The girl is a piece of trash :) x."

As Nicki Swift previously reported, McGregor, 47, filed for divorce from Clara's mother, Eve Mavrakis, in January 2018 after 22 years of marriage. They had met while working on the set of the British crime show Kavanagh QC in 1995, and married that July. While the estranged exes separated in May 2017, the news didn't break until October, after photos of McGregor and Winstead kissing at a cafe in London leaked.

Clara isn't the only one of the former couple's children to speak out on McGregor's new relationship. Their daughter Esther, 16, previously called her famous father out while sharing a song she wrote on social media. "Seeing those pictures," she sang in response to leaked photos, "they're making me cry." The formerly married pair also share Jamyan, 17, and Anouk, 7.

Citing irreconcilable differences in his divorce filing, McGregor is seeking joint legal and physical custody of his and Mavrakis' three minor children and has stated his willingness to pay spousal support. Their assets are expected to be divided up evenly.

For her part, his production designer ex has requested sole physical custody while allowing visitation rights for McGregor. "It's disappointing and upsetting," Mavrakis, 52, said of their divorce while speaking with The Sun earlier this year. "But my main concern is our four children are OK."

At the time of this writing, McGregor and Winstead, 33, have yet to publicly comment on their romance. However, the Star Wars actor made headlines earlier this year when he thanked both women in his life at the 2018 Golden Globes. "I want to take a moment just to say thank you to Eve who always stood by me for 22 years," he said during his acceptance speech for Best Actor in a Limited Series, while later adding, "There would be no Ray [the character he plays] without Mary Elizabeth Winstead."
