Chris Pratt Spotted Kissing Katherine Schwarzenegger Amid Dating Rumors

It looks like things are heating up between Marvel star Chris Pratt and author Katherine Schwarzenegger.

On Sunday, July 29, 2018, the Guardians of the Galaxy star was spotted kissing the eldest daughter of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver after the two attended church together in Los Angeles, TMZ reports.

Following the service, the rumored couple grabbed some ice cream — with Pratt's 5-year-old son Jack, whom he shares with ex Anna Faris, in tow. Schwarzenegger, clad in a yellow floral sundress, appeared to be a natural around Jack, while Pratt looked casual in a simple dark t-shirt and jeans.

As Nicki Swift previously reported, Pratt, 39, and Schwarzenegger, 28, were first romantically linked in mid-June 2018, when the pair were seen picnicking together in Santa Barbara, Calif. At the time, a source told People magazine that Shriver had played matchmaker, saying, "Maria helped set them up." While the two had apparently already been on "multiple dates" by then, the insider added, "It's still new."

By early July, a source cited by Entertainment Tonight claimed that while Pratt and Schwarzenegger had "hit it off," they were merely "casually dating" and taking things slow. "The two really enjoy their time together, but it's still in the early stages," the insider went on, adding, "[Chris is] in no rush for a relationship."

At the time of this writing, neither Pratt nor Schwarzenegger have publicly commented on their suspected romance. However, it's worth noting that Schwarzenegger is the Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom star's first reported girlfriend since he and Faris announced their separation in August 2017. The amicable exes, who have remained focused on co-parenting their only child, filed for divorce that December. Citing irreconcilable differences, both parties sought joint custody of Jack. Meanwhile, Faris, 41, has been romantically linked with cinematographer Michael Barrett since last October.

This recent development in Pratt's love life isn't the only Marvel news making headlines this week. On Monday, July 30, he and the rest of the Guardians of the Galaxy cast penned an open letter in support of their former writer-director, James Gunn. Readers may remember that Gunn was infamously fired by Marvel's parent company, Disney, earlier this month after some conservative activists rediscovered a series of controversial tweets he'd posted nearly a decade ago.

Pratt shared the open letter — which was signed by himself and fellow co-stars Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Karen Gillan, Sean Gunn, Pom Klementieff, Michael Rooker, and Zoe Saldana — on Instagram. "Although I don't support James Gunn's inappropriate jokes from years ago, he is a good man," he wrote in part in the caption. "I'd personally love to see him reinstated as director of Volume 3."
