Jersey Shore's Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino Announces Wedding Date Ahead Of Prison Sentence

Jersey Shore's Mike Sorrentino, who's better known as "The Situation," can hear those wedding bells ringing.

On Friday, Oct. 12, 2018, the reality TV star took to Instagram to officially announce his wedding date with fiancée Lauren Pesce ahead of his upcoming prison sentence on charges of tax fraud.

"#Thehitchuation is happening November 1st, 2018. I will be marrying @lauren_pesce My rock, my best friend, my better half & my soul mate," Sorrentino wrote, captioning a sweet snapshot of Pesce kissing him on the cheek. Alongside a bride emoji, he added, "You are my everything & I am so excited to call you Mrs Situation #gymtanlaurens."

As Nicki Swift previously reported, Sorrentino, 36, was sentenced to eight months in prison with two years of supervised release earlier this month. He and his brother, Marc, both pleaded guilty to tax evasion in January of this year and faced up to five years behind bars after the IRS accused them of failing to pay taxes in 2014.

Following his sentencing, the television personality's lawyer, Henry E. Klingeman, told TMZ, "Mike accepts the Court's judgment. He is looking forward to marrying his college sweetheart, Lauren Pesce, next month and moving forward together after he serves his sentence."

For her part, Pesce, who recently shared a pic of her gorgeous engagement ring, has since expressed support for her famous fiancé on social media. "Thank you for all of your messages of love & support," the 33-year-old wrote, captioning a photo of the engaged pair outside a federal courthouse in Newark, N.J. "We are happy to put an end to this chapter and excited to move forward in our future. We are blessed to have our health and the outpouring of support from family, friends & fans. We love you."

Amid Sorrentino's looming prison stint, he and Pesce celebrated their upcoming nuptials at their wedding shower in late September.

Elsewhere in the Jersey Shore sphere, Sorrentino's longtime castmate, Jenni "JWoww" Farley, filed for divorce from her husband of nearly three years, Roger Matthews. Citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their split, she is reportedly seeking child support and primary custody of the former couple's children, 4-year-old daughter Meilani Alexandra and 2-year-old son Greyson Valor.
