Britney Spears Announces New Las Vegas Residency

Pop star Britney Spears is Las Vegas bound!

On Thursday, Oct. 18, 2018, the "...Baby One More Time" singer officially announced that she is heading back to Sin City in February 2019 with a new residency called Britney: Domination, which will be held at the Park Theater at Park MGM.

Spears revealed the exciting news during a special event, which included a parade down the Las Vegas strip, that was live-streamed through The Ellen DeGeneres Show's YouTube channel. As she later stated in a press release, "I am so happy to be returning to my second home – Las Vegas! I'm working on a brand-new show and I'm so excited for my fans to see it! It's going to be so much fun being back on stage and I can't wait to perform at Park Theater" (via Entertainment Tonight).

As Nicki Swift previously reported, rumors that Spears, 36, would be returning to Las Vegas for a second residency first circulated earlier in the day on Thursday. The pop princess, who was also due to appear at a GLAAD Spirit Day event at the city's T-Mobile Arena to continue her support of the LGBTQ community that evening, had revealed that she would be making a "huge announcement" on Thursday, Oct. 18, during a recent appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

The "Toxic" hitmaker previously wrapped her first four-year Las Vegas residency at the AXIS at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino while ringing in 2018 on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest. Spears, whose Piece of Me Tour has been nominated for a 2018 People's Choice Award, will reportedly become the highest-paid performer in Las Vegas with her upcoming residency. According to the Daily Mail, she will allegedly earn an astounding $507,000 per show.

The news of Spears' second residency comes on the heels of fellow singer Céline Dion announcing the end of her own. The "It's All Coming Back To Me Now" songstress will wrap her current residency, Celine, in June 2019 following an eight-year run.

Tickets for Britney: Domination, which will run between Feb. 13 and Aug. 17, 2019, are set to go on sale for the general public at 10 a.m. PT on Friday, Oct. 26.
