The Bachelorette's Kaitlyn Bristowe And Shawn Booth Split

It's over between Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth of The Bachelorette.

On Friday, November 2, 2018, the reality TV stars announced that they were officially calling it quits following a three-year engagement in a statement to People magazine.

"After three incredible years, we have decided to go our separate ways," the former couple stated. "This difficult decision comes after thoughtful, respectful consideration. Even though we are parting as a couple, we're very much committed to remaining friends and we will continue to support each other."

The amicable exes continued, "Due to the nature of how we met, our relationship has always been very public, and we have enjoyed sharing it with all of you, but we ask that you respect our decision and our privacy at this time."

Bristowe, 33, and Booth, 31, famously got engaged during the season 11 finale of The Bachelorette in 2015. However, rumors that there was trouble in paradise first surfaced over the summer.

As Nicki Swift previously reported, Bristowe dismissed the speculation surrounding their relationship in episode of her podcast, Off the Vine with Kaitlyn Bristowe, in mid-August 2018. "So here's the truth. I'm in Canada because every single year I have made a promise to myself and my family that I will come up every August and enjoy downtime with the people that I love in a country that I love," she said at the time. "Shawn did not come up with me because the guy just bought a gym. ... We are both so busy and unfortunately that means that we're spending all of this time apart."

The reality TV star went on to add, "Shawn and I are 110 percent committed to each other and, yes, we are still together."

While Bristowe and Booth did not specify what led to their split in their recent statement, a source cited by Entertainment Tonight has claimed that their relationship had become "estranged" over the last few weeks, adding, "It's just a matter of them growing apart."

These two sadly aren't the only celeb pairing to call off an engagement in recent months. Pop star Ariana Grande and comedian Pete Davidson broke up after five months together in mid-October. The former couple's whirlwind romance became the stuff of tabloid fodder when they got engaged in June 2018 after only a few weeks of dating. Meanwhile, former pro wrestling couple John Cena and Nikki Bella canceled their wedding for a second time in late July 2018. They had initially ended their engagement in April.
