Owen Wilson Reportedly 'Refuses To Meet' His Newborn Daughter

Actor Owen Wilson apparently has yet to meet his newborn daughter.

According to an Us Weekly exclusive, published on Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2018, the Wedding Crashers star reportedly doesn't seem too invested in building a relationship with baby no. 3, whom he allegedly shares with estranged ex Varunie Vongsvirates.

As a source cited by the magazine has claimed, the movie star "refuses to meet his daughter," adding that he reportedly "has not contacted Varunie at all" since their little girl's birth just last month. The insider went on to say that Wilson "even checked the no visitation box in court in June ... He does not want to visit [and does not] want any custody of her."

As Nicki Swift previously reported, Wilson, 49, and Vongsvirates reportedly welcomed their first child together, a baby girl named Lyla Aranya Wilson, on Oct. 9, 2018. At the time of her birth, she weighed in at 6 lbs., 13 oz. and measured 21 inches. According to a source cited by People magazine at the time, Lyla's middle name of "Aranya" holds a special meaning for Vongsvirates, as it was chosen in honor of her own father's Thai background.

The Midnight in Paris actor is already dad to two sons, 7-year-old Robert Ford, whom he shares with ex-girlfriend Jade Duell, and 4-year-old Finn Wilson, whom he shares with ex Caroline Lindqvist. As for little Lyla, a source recently told Us Weekly, "The baby looks just like Owen. She has fair skin, blonde hair and blue eyes."

For her part, it sounds like Vongsvirates, who reportedly works as a business development representative for Los Angeles' American Addiction Center, couldn't be happier these days as a new mom. Over the last month, she's taken to social media to document her newfound motherhood. "My sweet little princess," she previously wrote on Instagram, captioning an adorable snapshot of her newest addition. Alongside a heart emoji, she added, "Lyla Aranya Wilson, born on 10-09-18." More recently, the proud mom shared another cute pic of Lyla on Wednesday, Nov. 7, which she sweetly captioned with, "My everything."

News that Wilson may become a dad for a third time first broke in June 2018, when it was reported that he'd allegedly volunteered to take a paternity test after Vongsvirates claimed he was the father of her unborn baby. "Owen has been a great father to his two boys and has maintained a warm and close relationship with their mothers," a source told Us Weekly at the time, adding, "Of course if a paternity test establishes that he is the father of another child, he will fulfill all of his obligations to support his child."

As E! News previously noted, Wilson and Vongsvirates' relationship timeline remains unclear. However, as an insider noted in Us Weekly's latest report, the former couple reportedly "dated for almost five years."

At the time of this writing, Wilson has yet to publicly comment on his alleged third child's birth. However, his rep has since told the magazine, "This is a private matter and it's not appropriate to comment further."

In other celeb baby news in recent weeks, Marvel star Josh Brolin and his entrepreneur wife Kathryn Boyd announced on Sunday, Nov. 4 that they've welcomed their first child together, a baby girl named Westlyn Reign Brolin. "Dearest Ladies and Gentlemen, I would like to introduce our little girl Westlyn Reign Brolin (Bean)," the proud dad wrote on social media at the time, captioning an adorable clip of their newborn daughter smiling while fast asleep. "Mama Kathryn was stellar during this miracle birth and Bean is a flawless gem through and through." Brolin, 50, added, "We are blessed to the core and appreciate so much the love and support during this pregnancy from ALL who have partaken in our journey, directly and/or indirectly. #beanlove."

Meanwhile, Kenya Moore of The Real Housewives of Atlanta gave birth to her first child at the age of 47 that same day. As the reality TV star explained to People magazine, she and her businessman husband, Marc Daly, named their baby girl Brooklyn Doris Daly for two special reasons: "Brooklyn because that's where we met and fell in love, and Doris after my grandmother who passed away last year and who raised me."
