How Many Tattoos Does The Cast Of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation Have?

When Jersey Shore aired back in 2009, nobody knew that it would become the cultural phenomenon that it is today. As Jersey Shore star Vinny Guadagnino detailed in Vulture's oral history of the hit show, "I personally thought that it was going to be a half-hour special. True Life: I Go to the Jersey Shore, something like that."

As it turns out, fans became mesmerized by the simplicity of the cast's lives. However, at first, the allure didn't make much sense — especially to those working on the show. "I remember panicking in the control room. I'm like, 'For f**k's sake, all I have is four guys getting their damn laundry done, going to the gym, and tanning. That's not a TV show,'" executive producer SallyAnn Salsano recalled, adding, "every day we'd write 'gym, tanning, laundry'.Then we got lazy and just started writing 'GTL'."

Nevertheless, "GTL" became a cultural sensation, as did all the partying, drinking and countless catchphrases coined by the show's cast. Being on air for a decade has been a pretty lucrative gig for these "guidos" and "guidettes." With their net worth still rising, the Jersey Shore fam has no problem splurging a little. One of their favorite things to drop a few dollars on? Fresh ink. Let's take a look at all the tattoos the cast of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation has accumulated over the years.

JWoww and Snooki's tattoos are certainly fitting for both of them

The ladies of the Jersey Shore cast sure love their tattoos. Jenni "JWoww" Farley's collection is undoubtedly growing. Still, it's the colorful ink on her left arm that gets the most attention. So, what is it exactly? Debuting her "Happily never after" sleeve of Disney princesses at the 2016 MTV VMAs, she later explained to Inked magazine, "I took my four favorite Disney love stories and flipped them so they are more rooted in reality ... To me, that is the reality of relationships, they are crazy and take hard work — not that happily ever after bulls**t" (via Us Weekly). Um, we hope you don't regret that macabre meaning, Jenni.

Farley's castmates, on the other hand, seem to opt for more playful pieces of body art. Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi loves paying tribute to her kids and her life as a mom. "I don't know how many I have, but I know they're all meaningful to me," the celeb revealed on her YouTube channel. Some of her favorites include the Roman numerals on her wrist for her children and a squirrel on her arm — a reference to the nickname she has for tots. Although the reality star has had her fair share of people criticizing her as a mom, we have to admit, these are pretty cute and meaningful, to boot.

Deena and Angelina take the lighthearted approach to body art

Deena Cortese, Snooki's pal who joined the series back in 2010, seems to keep her ink pretty mellow compared to Jwoww and Snooki's significant pieces. Sporting a simple phrase, "Tell me I can't and I'll show you I can," Cortese gave Us Weekly the lowdown on her ink. "I did it because I like the saying. I like proving people wrong (via Wonderwall)." It's certainly simple, but it matches the meatball's laid-back approach to life.

As for Angelina Pivarnick? Much like Cortese, the raven-haired celeb hasn't really spoken out about her ink, preferring to let her pieces do the talking when they pop up in her social media posts on occasion. One that has gotten a lot of publicity, however? The jaw-droppingly awkward tattoo she received on MTV's How Far Is Tattoo Far, where her beau, Chris Larangeira, surprised her with a piece that she didn't see until it was done. Per Metro, Pivarnick couldn't help but show her irritation when it was revealed that Larangeira designed an engagement ring on her thigh with the words "3rd time's a charm" — alluding to the fact that the reality TV star was engaged twice before.

Don't worry, Larangeira didn't get off too easy. Pivarnick gave him quite the memorable piece in return — a dirty cartoon hamster. Wondering what that means? Well, we'll just leave this here for you.

Gym, tat, laundry

The Jersey Shore boys are known for having showy pieces of ink on their bodies — save for Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, who prefers to keep his body bare.

Pauly D and Vinny Guadagnino, Jersey Shore's most beautiful bromance duo, both have their upper arms covered with tattoos. They gave fans a good look at their ink when they appeared in matching sleeveless tuxes to promote their MTV spinoff, Double Shot at Love. While Pauly D is certainly the more tatted up of the pair, Guadagnino has a massive piece — a chest tattoo that reads "Let Go Let God" — that he famously got on the original Jersey Shore series in 2012.

As for Ronnie Ortiz-Magro? The celeb who was once famous for his beefy biceps and "Ron Ron Juice" (the drink that leads to a night you can't remember) has settled down since the early days of his Jersey Shore fame. Much like Pauly D and Guadagnino, Ortiz-Magro also has his biceps covered with tattoos, and, as he dished to Inked, most of his pieces revolve around Christianity. He's also following in Snooki's footsteps in terms of ink now that he's a dad. Speaking to the tattoo mag, the former reality TV party animal revealed that he plans on having his next tattoo revolve around his daughter, Ariana. Aww!
