Here's Why Hannah Brown Crashed The Bachelor Season Premiere

Peter Weber's time as The Bachelor kicked off with an unexpected twist. While fans were aware that former Bachelorette Hannah Brown was set to return at some point, viewers had no idea how intense the situation would become when Weber's former girlfriend showed up on the season premiere.

The surprises started while Weber was welcoming all the ladies attempting to win over his heart. The star of the show was shocked (as were viewers) when Brown stepped out of the final limo. "When I heard that you were going to be the Bachelor, I had mixed emotions," she admitted, per AOL. She then recalled their time together during her season of The Bachelorette, specifically the moment when Weber gave her his pilot's wings. "When I stood where you are, you wanted to find your copilot, and you gave me something. And I want you to find that person. And so, I brought these back for you."

Brown returned the meaningful gift, but as it turns out, she wasn't done crashing Weber's spotlight.

At first, it seemed like Hannah Brown had only shown up for a brief rendezvous with Peter Weber during the season premiere of The Bachelor, but she popped up again to the shock of both contestants and viewers.

Making an appearance during the second group date, Brown decided to retell the (in)famous windmill story involving her fantasy suite with Weber. "I'm going to tell you the story about this guy I once dated," she said. "We go to Greece, and we go to our room. But it's not a room. It's a windmill. It's romantic, but I don't know. I'm starting to think, like, 'Is he just a nice guy?' Let's just say he proved me wrong. And then proved me wrong again, and then again, and then again in the morning. Yeah, four f***ing times."

After that sizzling piece of TMI, Brown began reflecting on her past choices and seemed to regret that she hadn't ended up with Weber. "My heart was very confused," she admitted. "I don't know what I did. I don't know. I don't know what the f**k I was doing. I don't know. I'm really f**ked up." She added, "I don't know, Peter. I question what I should have done. You know, I question a lot." 

She wasn't the only one questioning the past, present, and future...

Peter Weber was willing to listen to Hannah Brown as she expressed her regrets and confusion over what had gone down during her season of The Bachelorette. However, that doesn't mean he was willing to forget their past. Did Brown return because she thought Weber would want to rekindle their relationship, or did she simply want a hug and some closure? Weber made it clear that neither option was going to happen without him having his say.

"I don't want to be someone's, like, a third option," he said. Although the pair obviously got along during its time together (Do we need to mention the windmill again?), Brown chose both Tyler Cameron and Jed Wyatt over Weber, ultimately getting engaged to Wyatt. However, Brown quickly broke things off with Wyatt when she learned that he had had a girlfriend back home.

Weber also revealed that he was hurt when Brown dated Cameron after splitting from Wyatt and wondered if it had occurred to her to reconnect with him instead. "My heart just sank when you asked Tyler out," he said. Brown responded by explaining, "[Tyler] was reaching out, you didn't say anything. ... I didn't know if you just wanted to get past it. I mean, I thought you wanted to be the Bachelor." 

Just because Weber became the Bachelor, that doesn't mean things are necessarily over with Brown. In her words: "I know there's still something there."

Despite the rocky background between Peter Weber and Hannah Brown, it turns out that he's willing to give her another chance. "This is so insane," Weber admitted. "What would you say if I asked you to, like, come and be part of the house?" 

Um, what? Is that even allowed? Brown's response: "I mean, maybe."

Weber, always one to be open about his feelings, confessed he wanted Brown to enter the Bachelor mansion as soon as she stepped out of that limo on the first night. However, he added, "I don't know what to do right now. I'm so confused." Ya think? "I can't help how my heart feels," he said. "I look at her and I just don't want to stop looking at her, and I want to just kiss her and just, like, had all this work[ed] out. And it didn't. And I know it didn't. And I feel like such a jerk because I have such an awesome group of girls here expecting to meet someone that was truly ready to have this work for them as well and I don't know." 

Though fans of the show are accustomed to crazy Bachelor moments, Weber clearly wasn't the only one shaken by the big twist on the Season 24 premiere.

The unprecedented situation that went down between Peter Weber and Hannah Brown on The Bachelor left many viewers just as shocked as those who appeared on the show. Reactions among fans were mixed, to say the least.

Plenty of people support Brown. "I'll forever be team @hannahbrown. I appreciate her authenticity and vulnerability," tweeted one viewer. "...Way to stay true even through the difficult times." But does that mean that she should return? Some fans are ready for Brown and Weber to give love another chance: "Hannah Brown I sure hope u end up with peter Weber in the end u can both see the love in your eyes he still has feelings for u an that's amazing true love." 

Others aren't so keen on the whole reunion idea. "Go home Hannah B," one person tweeted.

As for Brown, she didn't give away any spoilers, but she did take to Twitter after the emotional episode: "So that was not a blast at all. It was truly the hardest day — a day I was not looking forward to reliving," she said. That doesn't seem to hint at a happily-ever-after, but maybe she's just trying to throw us off the trail. Weber has said that there's no way anyone will figure out what happens in the end, even though there have already been plenty of spoilers and leaks.
