Tragic Details About Erika Kirk's Final Days With Husband Charlie

Erika Kirk has opened up about the tragic details surrounding the final day she spent with her husband, Charlie Kirk, the right-wing influencer who was murdered at Utah Valley University in September 2025. Along with the many celebrity reactions to Charlie's death, Donald Trump, who Charlie fiercely supported, also posted a message about his passing. However, it's Charlie's widow, Erika Kirk, who's been the most vocal about her deceased husband, how she's moving forward, and some of the tragic details wrapped up in the final day they spent together.

In late November, she spoke with Fox News about the last moments she spent with her husband. The former pageant contestant revealed that in the early morning hours before his speech, she sent Charlie, who was very excited about his visit to the university, to sleep in another room after their young daughter found their way into their bed. "I said, 'Go ahead and sleep in her room ... I just want you to get a good night's sleep so you can be amazing tomorrow,'" Erika revealed. Charlie took Erika up on her offer, rising early and leaving soon after. "I didn't even get to give him a kiss goodbye," she said.

Erika Kirk wished she'd gotten pregnant before her husband's death

Erika Kirk and Charlie Kirk share two children together, but Erika has revealed they always yearned for a bigger family. While speaking on "The Megyn Kelly Show" in November 2025, Erika revealed that, after finding out that Charlie had died, she hoped that she was pregnant with another child. "We wanted to have four," she shared. "And I was praying to God that I was pregnant when he got murdered ... I was like, 'Oh goodness, that would be the ultimate blessing out of this catastrophe.'" Erika also revealed that Charlie had been praying for the same outcome prior to his passing. "We were really excited to just expand our family," she said.

On November 20, Erika celebrated her first birthday since Charlie's death. Taking to Instagram, the 37-year-old posted a video compilation of her and Charlie celebrating together in years past. She accompanied the video with a lengthy, emotive caption about the future she once saw for them, including growing old together. "Today, I find myself, in some way, still romanticizing growing old with you, just in different locations," she wrote, in part. "So as I blow out candles this year with an ache so deep I pray no one ever has to feel it, I'm reminded that each day, each moment, each birthday ... you're with me."
