American Pie Star Shannon Elizabeth Is Still Absolutely Stunning Today
Shannon Elizabeth shot to fame in 1999 thanks to "American Pie," but over two decades later, her life looks very different. That said, even with a surprising new day-to-day in wildlife conservation, one thing that's never changed is her face card (read: never declining ever).
"American Pie" fans will no doubt remember Elizabeth as gorgeous foreign exchange student Nadia. She'd already been a model for several years before she took the role, though in a 2005 interview with Oh No They Didn't! she admitted that she'd never really gained much recognition for it. "No one knew who I was," she said. However, that all changed after the first "American Pie" film, and she would go on to appear in "Scary Movie" (as Buffy Gilmore) and "Love Actually" (as Harriet) in the years that followed. Elizabeth was also animated as a digital Bond Girl in the 2003 game "James Bond 007: Everything or Nothing."
While Elizabeth hasn't been cast in a big Hollywood project in some time, she is still a '90s icon, and in early 2026, she used that to bring attention to her newer venture in wildlife conservation. We'll get to that in a sec, but first, a moment for the fact that nearly 30 years post-"American Pie," she still had her fans' jaws on the ground. In response to a clip of her interview with ET shared to TikTok, one gushed, "Gosh she's still so gorgeous!" Another wrote, "I love her face, she's always so beautiful." Others were more focused on the fact that she had visible expression lines. "I love seeing her older. She's still so gorgeous. Maybe even more now," a fan said. "What a peak example of aging, gloriously. Good on her. She's beautiful," another agreed. When you've got it, you've got it!
Shannon Elizabeth loves seeing real people on screen
While Shannon Elizabeth is appreciative of "American Pie" and the impact the film had on her life, she also admitted on "The Tamsen Show" (hosted by her Emmy-winning journalist cousin, Tamsen Fadal) that there were times she felt typecast as the "sexy girl" as a result. "There were a lot of offers for the same type of film. ... I fought it a bit," she said, though she added that she really did enjoy doing comedy, and ultimately found herself returning to it. Even so, she also told Fadal that she was thrilled to see more women of all ages and body types represented in media. "It's really amazing that we live in a day and age where it's not all about being super thin, super done up, super pretty. ... Like, now, everything goes, and that box is almost taboo. ... Nobody cares about that box anymore, because that's not real life," she said.
If Taylor Sheridan is reading this, might we suggest Elizabeth as the star of his next project? One option might be to base a character on Elizabeth herself, because she actually started her life over in 2016 by relocating to South Africa. Elizabeth is heavily involved in conservation in the country, and even runs the Khusela Endangered Wildlife Sanctuary near the Addo Elephant National Park. She also started the Shannon Elizabeth Foundation to assist with conservation. Talk about a wild story of celebrity generosity.
Even with her new life abroad, Elizabeth has continued to make the odd film appearance in smaller productions, and even told Fox News she wouldn't say no to reuniting with the "American Pie" cast. That said, she added she'd love for Nadia to be the star. Frankly, we can't see "American Pie" fans objecting.
