Post-Divorce Bunnie Xo Is Showing Women How To Boss Up & Chase Their Own Happiness
Starting over in your 40s after going through a life-changing event such as a breakup or divorce may seem like a terrifying prospect for most people, but Bunnie Xo is living proof that it is possible. The former adult star and podcaster seemingly wasted no time moving on with her life following her high-profile split from country star Jelly Roll in 2026, and it's not because she didn't truly love him. She's just choosing to focus on the bright side. "I know when something like that that's deeply personal happens, it's a beautifully tragic, but at the same time there's always a silver lining, there's always something better to look forward to," Bunnie Xo said in an August 2026 interview on "Today with Jenna & Sheinelle." She also wants to show women that their worth shouldn't be defined by their relationship and that a divorce doesn't have to be the end of their world.
"There's so much more to talk about with me especially, and with women, than their past lovers and people in their lives," she told hosts Jenna Bush Hager and Sheinelle Jones. And you know what? She's absolutely right! By getting on with her life and focusing on herself, Bunnie Xo (whose real name is Alisa DeFord) is showing women that they can also pick themselves up, start over, and choose their own happiness, no matter what that looks like for them. "I feel like us as women, we put ourselves aside so much for partners or friends, kids, and it's like we don't pour into ourselves," she said. The days of playing the martyr are over. "And sometimes you need to be selfish and you need to pour into yourself," she added. Preach it!
Bunnie Xo is 'having the freaking time of [her] life'
Bunnie Xo appeared on the "Today with Jenna & Sheinelle" to discuss her book and how she's faring after her divorce, and it seems like she's doing just fine on her own, thank you very much. "Ladies, they should've never let me back out in the streets because I love it here," she said of being single. At this rate, she may never get married again. "And I'm never going back," the author, who was married to Jelly Roll for nearly 10 years, said.
Back in July, the "Dumb Blonde" host made headlines after she was spotted canoodling with Dylan Wolf of "Calabasas Confidential" in Jelly Roll's Nashville bar while the ink was still barely dry in their divorce papers. She told Jenna Bush Hager and Sheinelle Jones that she's been getting plenty of flirty DMs from men, as well as women, since news of her divorce broke, and she's admittedly enjoying the attention. "It's a lot," Bunnie Xo gushed. "I love reading everybody's DMs. Some of these pickup lines are amazing."
Kimberly Miller, a chief divorce educator and founder of PartWise, said Bunnie Xo is doing the right thing by embracing her freedom and allowing herself to just have fun. "After a divorce, especially one in which much of your identity was connected to your spouse, intentionally making time to go out and have fun can be an important part of healing because it allows you to remember that your identity extends beyond your marriage," Miller explained to Women. Clearly, that is what Bunnie Xo is striving to do, saying in her "Today" interview, "I'm having the freaking time of my life."
