Liam Neeson Might've Just Hard-Launched Hollywood's Biggest New Age-Gap Romance
Liam Neeson walked the red carpet holding hands with a fellow actor who is much younger, which sparked speculation that he could be in a new age-gap romance. While attending the premiere of "Evil Genius," a film directed by Courteney Cox, at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 12, Neeson was seen with Stella Stocker. Previously, the pair worked on the 2022 films "Memory" and "Marlowe" together, but there weren't any reports of a blossoming romance at the time. For the TIFF red carpet, the "Cold Storage" star kept it casual in a black sweater with a pair of blue jeans. He also rocked a leather jacket that gave him a youthful air. Stocker wore a sleeveless, floor-length black dress with cowl mock neck. Her hair was styled in an updo that helped show off her youthful features.
Seeing the two hold hands at the premiere had people excited about Neeson's love life. It also had many fans pointing out the age disparity between the duo. Neeson is 74 years old, and while Stocker's age isn't officially listed, her agency says that she can play anywhere from 35 to 45 years old. Even at the high end of those ages, she would still be 30 years younger than Neeson.
Posing next to Stocker did little to mask the "Schindler's List" actor's age in the eyes of social media critics. "[H]e looks 80," one X user wrote. "[H]e was with pammy six months ago, the old dog!" another user noted, referring to Neeson's brief romance with Pamela Anderson after they worked on "The Naked Gun" together. Later, the "Baywatch" alum shared details about dating her co-star.
Liam Neeson said he was through with dating
After promoting "The Naked Gun" together, rumors swirled that Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson's on-screen romance had bled over into their real lives. In December 2025, Anderson revealed that she spent some quality time with the "Silence" actor. "If you must know, Liam and I were romantically involved for a short while but only after we finished filming," Anderson told People at the time. "The Last Showgirl" star spent a week at Neeson's home in upstate New York, along with their respective assistants, and both moved on once their short tryst concluded. "[W]e went our separate ways to work on other films," she added. Their romance may have been short-lived, but it left an indelible impression. "He is such a supporter of this new trajectory in my career and kindly tells me he is very proud of me. I'm sure we will always be in each other's lives," Anderson told People.
Neeson may have hit it off with Anderson, but he doesn't take a typical approach to dating. A year before his "The Naked Gun" co-star gave that interview, Neeson said he was done with dating. "No, in a word. I'm past all that," he told People in October 2024. A couple of years earlier, Neeson revealed the disappointment in his love life when he fell for a woman while filming in Australia, only to learn that she was taken.
Prior to that, the "Taken" actor's love life had been mostly under wraps since his marriage to Natasha Richardson, who tragically died from a skiing accident in 2009. After his wife's death, Neeson did date PR executive Freya St. Johnston — who was 22 years younger than him — but they called it quits in 2012.
