It's a sad time for the Osbournes as Sharon Osbourne and her daughter, Kelly Osbourne, are said to not be doing so great right now. Following rumors of tension over Ozzy Osbourne's massive fortune (with Sharon being at the center of it all), a new report has claimed that the TV personality and Kelly have grown distant just over a year after saying goodbye to the music icon in July 2025.

Sources allege that the pair's political differences, combined with personal issues, have created a lot of friction between the famous mother-daughter duo. "They've been through a lot, and Ozzy's passing really united the family publicly, but they've also become very separate and very different people," according to a source quoted by the Daily Mail. They added, "They're worlds apart just now in every possible sense," noting that Kelly is also not on speaking terms with her brother, Jack Osbourne, either. "She's a long way away from Sharon, and her brother Jack, both geographically and ideologically."

Currently, Kelly is based in the U.K., where she recently signed with a talent agency and is busy making moves with her career. On top of her issues with her mother, the "Changes" singer is also said to be dealing with some personal changes in her life following Kelly's recent split from Sid Wilson in March, with whom she shares a son named Sidney. "Kelly needs the money, she is going it alone now and doesn't want to rely on family money," an insider disclosed.

Kelly has spoken about her differences with her mom Sharon

In August, Kelly Osbourne got candid about her distance from her mother while speaking with Attitude magazine at the National Television Awards in London. "It's hard because I love my mom," she expressed (via TikTok).

The pair leaned on each other after Ozzy Osbourne's death at 76 from a heart attack after living with Parkinson's disease for some time. The mother-daughter duo was last seen together at the BRIT Awards in February, where they accepted a posthumous award on Ozzy's behalf. Both seemed to be in good spirits. "It's good to be home and it's good to be here," Kelly told reporters at the time (via Hello! on Instagram). Meanwhile, Sharon spoke about the love and support they had received from fans since her husband's passing. "It's been an amazing feeling having so many people care about you," she gushed.

Meanwhile, a source told People in March that Kelly is still struggling to cope with the loss of her dad, saying the past several months had been extremely tough for her. They also spoke about her relationship with her mother, stating the two remain super close and that Kelly was "focused on being there for her mom" amid their shared grief. As the source told the Daily Mail in September, though, "It's a growing rift, and the divide is more obvious with every week that passes."
