2017 Vs. 2026: Raegan Revord Has Completely Transformed Since Young Sheldon
Young actors have a way of giving the perfect visual evidence of how fast time flies. The drastic transformation of the "Young Sheldon" cast since the show debuted in 2017 is proof. Raegan Revord, who played Sheldon Cooper's sassy twin, Missy Cooper, throughout the sitcom's seven seasons, is now a young adult who runs an online book club and is a published author. It's hard to imagine, but Revord, who is non-binary, is nothing like the child who shot to fame. Born in January 2008, Revord plunged into adulthood in 2026 and is looking as great as ever.
As the 2026 picture on the right shows, Revord still has the striking blue-green eyes that captivated us on "Young Sheldon." Revord has completely lost their baby face, now boasting gorgeous, thick eyebrows and a more mature gaze. But they still have dirty blonde hair, though Revord now highlights their natural color with an ombre look and styles it in flattering waves.
And the young actor and writer is apparently aware of their privileged locks, joking about them in an August 2026 Instagram video with a nod to one of their famous "Young Sheldon" moments. "When I said, 'I don't need to be good at math, I have beautiful hair,'" they wrote over a clip in which they sang Beyoncé's "Partition." Fans loved the throwback moment, while agreeing the statement still holds true today. "They do have beautiful hair," a fan gushed. Revord might not look like the young kid they were when audiences fell in love with them, but that time will always hold a special place in their heart.
Raegan Revord loved growing up on the Young Sheldon set
It is certainly daunting to realize how much time has passed since "Young Sheldon" premiered in 2017 by seeing how much Raegan Revord changed between Season 1 and Season 7. But as it turns out, fans aren't alone in the sentiment. Revord is also shocked when they see how little they were at the onset. "It's like a time capsule," Revord said on "The Jennifer Hudson Show" in 2024. "Whenever the show started, I was in a car seat, and I'm learning to drive now."
And Revord is grateful for everything that has happened in between. While many child stars struggle with fame and face heartbreaking situations in the industry, that wasn't the case for Revord. Joining the "Young Sheldon" cast at only 9 years old and saying goodbye at age 17, Revord grew up on the set — and loved the experience. "I learned so much being there, not just on how to be an actor, but also just how to be a good human being," they shared on "Cool Conversations with Pressley" in 2025.

Revord noted that the cast maintained a strong relationship even after the series' conclusion in 2024. "They're like my family," they noted. "I will be talking to my actual biological father and refer to my dad on the show as my dad." Annie Potts, who played the Cooper twins' maternal grandmother, offered proof of the former castmates' bond by sharing side-by-side pictures of her with Revord in her lap when the show started and when the show ended (above). "Then and now. Thank God some things never change," she tweeted, which Revord retweeted with the caption: "My Meemaw."
