Jane Treacy's QVC Exit And Return: Was She Fired Or Is There More To The Story?
Jane Treacy hadn't been on air since November 5, 2025. It just didn't make sense. Treacy was QVC royalty, having joined the network in 1986. Her absence didn't come with a statement from QVC or any of her representatives. The once-popular QVC host had simply vanished, without a sound or an announcement of her departure. To make matters all the more concerning, Treacy hadn't posted on social media either. Avid QVC watchers and Treacy fans alike wondered, anticipating answers to the questions: Where had Jane Treacy gone, and would she return?
Comments flooded the Instagram post Treacy made on November 5, 2025. "Where is Jane?" one commenter wrote under Treacy's photos of serene Montauk. "Why are you not on anymore. Really upset that nothing is being said about where you are." Another commented, "Miss you Jane ... Looking forward to your return." According to her social media posts, Treacy made her return to QVC on November 19, 2025. By this time, there were plenty of fan theories swirling around about where Treacy could have gone. One fan wrote under her return Facebook post, "I thought you retired!" Treacy had, in fact, not retired or been fired, but questions about where she went went unanswered. On a YouTube video covering Treacy's disappearance, one fan wrote, "Some hosts have mentioned they are thinking of her. So maybe she had a loss in her family or a health event. Praying all is ok."
Jane Treacy's mysterious absence sent her haters into overdrive
It seems nothing has been confirmed about why Jane Treacy left her hit TV slots vacant for two weeks in November 2025. As of this writing, Treacy is still going strong at QVC, with no retirement announcement. Considering Treacy's legacy status at QVC and how quickly she returned, it's not likely she was let go. If she was, however, it wouldn't be the first time. On "Jane's Top 40," Treacy discussed her "tumultuous early days at the Q." Early in her career, Treacy was "hired, fired, and rehired ... all in 9 months," as she put it on her Facebook post promoting her discussion. It's evident that Treacy has faced lots of ups and downs with QVC, including her fair share of haters, but not enough to deter her.
While many were upset about Treacy's absence, others were thrilled. In the 40 years that Treacy has been on the air, it appears that she has garnered a sizable number of haters. Part of what has defined Treacy's QVC career has been her unique approach to selling. She opts to tell personal stories to connect with viewers and guests. This act might work on some, but internet trolls hate on even the nicest of celebs, and some Facebook users have taken aim at Treacy. "She should stop sharing. Nobody is interested! She's there to sell stuff on a shopping network! Not talk about her family!" one angry commenter wrote under a QVC complaints post. Another message read, "Time for Jane to retire. I can't watch her anymore." Despite the negativity, Treacy is still showing up to work for the time being.
