Inside 90 Day Fiance Star Darcey Silva's Engagement To Georgi Rusev
No one has put more work into finding true love on TLC than Darcey Silva. Fans who have been following her journey will be thrilled to know that 90 Day Fiancé and Darcey & Stacey stars Darcey and Georgi Rusev are engaged. Yep, she finally accepted a proposal! According to an interview they gave to People in October 2020, Georgi secretly proposed all the way back in June, but they are still on cloud nine when it comes to their romance. "I still feel newly engaged. I haven't been able to really celebrate it yet with everybody. I want to be able to shout it to the world," Darcey gushed. "It was definitely a total surprise for me. Georgi and I have a very deep connection, and I feel like in that moment I was not expecting it at all."
The magazine reported that Darcey and Georgi quickly moved in together when the coronavirus pandemic struck in spring 2020 — in order to not be kept far apart from each other while socially distancing or sheltering in place. That didn't make the engagement any easier, though, Georgi said.

Moving in together during the COVID-19 pandemic was a romantic idea, but it made proposing really hard, according to what Georgi Rusev told People. "It was really hard to find the ring, make calls, make the reservation for the boat, for dinner," he said. Anyone who has watched Darcey Silva on screen can imagine that it would be difficult to get anything past her. Darcey is already planning her wedding, too, saying that she's thinking of doing it on the beach. "I want family involved, his side of the family and loved ones from all over. Maybe something intimate, beautiful and romantic here in the States first and then [abroad] as well at some point," she revealed to the magazine.
It has not been easy for Darcey and Georgi, who met IRL at the Super Bowl in Miami in February 2020 after initially talking on social media, the outlet reported. For one, Darcey found out that Georgi was still married and in the process of getting divorced after they met, but the couple said all that is behind them.

Even though it hasn't been easy to stay together, Darcey Silva revealed her relationship with Georgi Rusev is just like any other relationship — it takes work. "Everybody's going to have their issues from time to time, but if we can communicate and talk through that, that's what I've always wanted in a relationship," she told People. Georgi echoed her sentiment, saying that he knows that they have each other's backs, and that's what will help them through rough moments.
After accepting his proposal, Darcey revealed that she called her two daughters first to tell them the good news. And they are totally on board! "They mean the most to me, and Georgi knows they come first and foremost in my life. He accepts them and me as a mom, and they get along very well. We already kind of feel like a little family unit," Darcey said.
Who knows, Darcey and Georgi might just make it after all.
