Why Chantel's Mom From 90 Day Fiance Is Getting Her Own Spinoff

TLC's 90 Day Fiancé has proven so successful that the show has branched off into numerous spinoffs. Fans may already be familiar with these successful subplots, which range from 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After to 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way.

One couple that gained particular attention, thereby earning them some spinoffs of their very own, was Pedro Jimeno and Chantel Everett. While they went through some tough times as a couple, they were still married and living together in Atlanta, Ga., as of Sept. 16, 2020, per ET Online. Through their time on 90 Day Fiancé as well as spinoffs like The Family Chantel, fans grew invested in Chantel and Pedro's relationship but also in other characters in their lives, especially Chantel's mom, Karen Everett. So it's super exciting news for fans that Karen is actually getting her own spinoff in a digital series with Facebook Watch, according to Deadline. Here's why Karen is getting her own show.

Mama Chantel is bringing us a world of love advice

Karen Everett is getting a new digital series called Ask Mama Chantal (if that isn't the sweetest name, we don't know what is!). The new spinoff is slated to premiere on Oct. 22, 2020 through Facebook Watch, according to Deadline.

And what will Ask Mama Chantel consist of? Oh, just an assortment of the cutest things ever. In the new series, "Karen answers fans' questions about love, family drama and more with her character wisdom and wit," per Deadline.

TLC President and General Manager, Howard Lee, explained the decision, adding the fun news that David Toborowsky and Annie Suwan are also getting a Facebook Watch series called Spice It Up With David & Annie.

"David, Annie and Chantel's mom Karen are three larger-than-life personalities whom fans have fallen in love with over several seasons and spinoffs of the 90 Day franchise," Howard said, per Deadline. "While we continue to lead with women audiences in cable, partnering with Facebook Watch lets us go deeper with current 90 Day devotees and expand to all-new digital audiences."

Facebook Watch offered a preview with Karen reading fan letters and offering her usual hilarious, frank commentary and love advice. It looks like a hit already!
