The Truth About The Bachelorette's Brendan Morais

Season 16 of The Bachelorette and its star Clare Crawley were making headlines long before the show premiered thanks to leaked spoilers. While not giving too much away — semi-spoiler alert! — it seems that there might be a second Bachelorette who will be joining the show. That, coupled with the fact that this is the first season filmed during the coronavirus pandemic, all but guarantees that fans can anticipate a season like none other before.

Us Weekly reported that, while 31 men were cast as part of The Bachelorette's official 2020 season, ABC originally recruited 42 men so the network would have alternates available. This precaution ensured that, if someone tested positive for COVID-19 while everyone quarantined on-set at the La Quinta Resort & Club in Palm Springs, Calif., there would be someone ready and willing to take their place, per The Hollywood Reporter. One of the suitors, 30-year-old Brendan Morais — not to be confused with Brandon Goss — seemingly started off on the right foot when he and Clare embarked upon their first one-on-one date. However, things quickly went downhill as he kept on talking.

But what's The Bachelorette's Brendan Morais' backstory? Keep scrolling to learn more about the lead's potential love interest.

The Bachelorette's Brendan Morais is a sensitive soul

With 31 contestants to chose from, Clare Crawley has her work cut out for her. Hopefully, she will give Brendan Morais a chance, as Reality Steve reported that Brendan may be in it for the long haul. According to Brendan's Bachelorette profile page, he "is a sensitive soul who is ready to share his life with a special woman." He lost his father at a young age, which made him realize that his life purpose was to be a father. According to his ABC biography, Brendan is all about that initial attraction when meeting a woman. He loves to make a woman feel desired and describes himself as a true romantic. The Milford, Mass. resident is not too shabby in the looks department, either. While ABC lists his occupation as a commercial roofer, he is also an actor and an actively working model with three agencies who represent him.

According to his IMDb page, Brendan has three acting credits. Not listed is his first acting role, in which Brendan played a Russian thug in the film The Equalizer starring Denzel Washington, according to the official Facebook page for Get Rich Free, a 2017 movie in which Morais starred. As you can gather from his acting reel, which features some clips from Get Rich Free, he can emote. But can he emote his way through this season of The Bachelorette and walk away with the final rose? Stay tuned!
