"anyways Christmas is literally in 4 months wtf," she added. Her breakup announcement came a few weeks after she appeared to hint at trouble in paradise. "handling things privately and off social media just like you guys said," the social media personality captioned an Aug. 3, 2020, tweet featuring a photo with Hall.
With the sudden breakup news making its way to Twitter after months of Hall and Rae teasing their romance, millions of young fans were left wondering what led to the two TikTok sensations calling it quits.

By September 2020, Addison Rae was seemingly ready to break her silence on what caused her split with Bryce Hall. "There were a lot of times we were on, we were off, and it was kind of just like, a confusing situation," she told Entertainment Tonight before explaining how their lifestyles caused them to drift apart. "... [R]ight now, we're just kind of both deciding that, you know, there are a lot of things going on in both of our lives that we really need to focus on and figure out."
Rae then touched on what her focuses are as a young woman with a rising career in media. "... [F]or me, I just really want to focus on my family, my brands, my career and just really trying to shape my life for the next five to 10 years and being able to provide for myself and like, my family, and just continuing to grow like that."
She also made sure to note that there's no bad blood between the former pair. "I think Bryce also has a lot going on and things that he has to figure out as well," she told the outlet. "I wish him the best of luck in it all and I think at the end of the day, we're both still wishing the best for each other."
