90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way's couple, Tim Clarkson and Melyza Zeta, have had some tumultuous hurdles and uncomfortable moments as they continue their journey toward love. Things intensified ever since Tim moved to Colombia from Texas, with the duo having difficult conversations and struggling with how to move forward, especially since Tim broke the news to Melyza that he cheated on her shortly before she visited the United States. Then Melyza had her own dating experience that she kept secret from Tim.
On the episode that aired on Nov. 8, 2020, from Season 2, fans saw Tim's mom, Robin, and his aunt, Karmyn, arrive in Colombia to visit them, according to TV Insider. Although the visit is a nice gesture on the part of Tim's family, it's clear there's tension between Robin and Melyza, so much so that the latter opts to stay with her parents during the visit so that everyone can have some space.
A big reason for the tension between the two women is because Robin called the cops on Melyza — here's the dramatic scoop.
Melyza and Robin don't see eye to eye
As Tim Clarkson and Melyza Zeta figure out their relationship on TLC's 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, Melyza has to deal with some drama between herself and Tim's mom, Robin. In fact, Melyza goes and stays with her parents while Robin comes to visit Colombia, according to Showbiz CheatSheet.
In a confessional with TLC, Melyza said that her relationship with Robin has always been cordial, but things took a turn when Robin came to visit them when Melyza was living with Tim. "We were still dealing with, you know, all the wounds from me finding out that [Tim] had cheated on me," Melyza explained. "We were having a serious discussion, and he just blew up. He started like yelling at me and saying things, and then obviously I got really upset too and we just started like yelling at each other, and throwing things and she pulls me into a room, and she starts telling me that if I don't calm down, she's going to call the police on me. I definitely lost respect for her after that."
Thankfully, during Robin's visit, she and Melyza were able to talk. Although Robin didn't explicitly apologize for the past, according to TV Insider, they did air their grievances, and Melyza was happy with the result. "I definitely appreciate that she reassured me that she actually loved and respected me, even though she kind of dances around saying sorry," Melzya said, per the outlet. Hey, at least it's something!
