Why Southern Charm's Kathryn Dennis Can't Stand Cameran Eubanks

Cameran Eubanks might have left Southern Charm at the end of Season 6, but she's still the primary source of drama in Season 7. Let's break it down. In the October 2020 premiere of SC, Kathryn Dennis spread a rumor that Cameran's husband, Jason Wimbley, had an affair. Now, this is never a nice rumor to be on the wrong side of, but it was quite hard for Cameran to stomach as she'd gone to such great lengths to keep her marriage private. Despite being married to a reality star, Jason rarely appeared on screen, as he's a private person, per Cameran.

When Kathryn started spreading rumors that he was having an affair with a Charleston-based makeup artist, Cameran put her foot down and quit the show. "It has come to my attention that insidious rumors are now spreading and fake articles are being written ... some of which pertain to my marriage," Cameran said in a statement shared to Instagram. "This is what reality television has come to nowadays and a large reason why I kept my marriage off air," she added.

Fans felt terrible for Cameran, but Kathryn Dennis did not. Despite being former co-stars on Bravo, Kathryn and Cameran are basically sworn enemies. So why does Kathyrn dislike Cameran so much? Read on to find out.

Kathryn claims Cameran had it coming

When it comes to spreading rumors about Cameran Eubanks' marriage, Kathryn Dennis seemingly couldn't care less. Kathryn addressed the situation on a Season 7 episode of Southern Charm, and she made it clear just how much she isn't a fan of Cameran. "I don't give a f—k about what Cameran thinks," she said in a confessional, according to Us Weekly. "So everyone that thinks Cam is just this guy's girl that is wearing Lilly Pulitzer with a big old smile and perfect teeth? She's an a—hole." Strong words.

"She literally hurt me to my core by the meanest, nastiest things you could ever say about someone," Kathryn explained, per Us Weekly. So just what did Cameran do to warrant this kind of anger? It turns out the bad blood goes back to the beginning of Southern Charm, to when Kathryn was in a relationship with Thomas Ravenel. Thomas and Kathryn had two kids together and then fought a nasty custody battle in which Kathryn's sobriety came into question, and she lost custody of the kids for a while and went to rehab. During this time, Cameran sided with Thomas.

Kathryn's all good these days, but she never forgot how her co-stars, including Cameran, turned against her, per People. After giving birth to her first child in 2018, Cameran publicly apologized to Kathryn for how she treated her back then. "I have so much more empathy for you now," she said. "I can't imagine how you have felt and I'm really sorry." For Kathryn, the apology was too little too late.
