Barry and Kim have serious issues with Ethan's wife, Olivia Plath, and it's been reported that the Plath parents believe their daughter-in-law is possessed by evil spirits. Ethan and Olivia Plath have cut off all contact with Barry and Kim.
As the second season of Welcome to Plathville begins, their daughter Moriah Plath and son Micah Plath are living on their own, with limited access to their younger siblings. In a video from Season 2 of Welcome to Plathville, Micah explains, "I'm not allowed to see my younger siblings unless my parents are there because of my lifestyle."
According to TLC, Kim, and Barry Plath's parenting goals were to "instill their traditional values and beliefs" into their children.
