Inside Bachelor Alum Lauren Bushnell's Marriage To Chris Lane

Bachelor fans may remember former contestant Lauren Bushnell, as she appeared on Ben Higgins' season and the two fell in love, ultimately getting engaged at the end of the season. They also starred together in the Freeform spinoff series, Ben and Lauren: Happily Ever After? Unfortunately, the pair could not make it work and they called off their engagement in May 2017. Luckily, Bushnell soon found love again, this time with country singer Chris Lane.

Bushnell first met Lane after seeing him perform at Stagecoach and hanging out with him backstage. They officially confirmed dating rumors after walking the red carpet together at the BMI Country Music Awards in 2018 (per US Weekly). Before they linked up, Chris had actually been dating another former Bachelor contestant, Lauren "LB" Barr, who also appeared during Higgins' season. Reportedly, Bushnell actually called LB to let her know she was dating his ex because she felt like it was "the respectful thing to do" (per Hollywood Life).

Bushnell and Lane had a whirlwind romance and got engaged after only a year of dating in June 2019. The two then tied the knot in Nashville in October 2019 and have remained smitten ever since. Keep reading to learn more about their marriage.

Lauren Bushnell and Chris Lane had a whirlwind romance

For Lauren Bushnell and Chris Lane, their instant connection amounted to love at first sight and, after only one year of dating, Lane popped the question and they got married in October 2019. The couple is clearly head over heels for each other and ahead of their wedding, Lane gushed to People about how he felt like "the luckiest guy in the world to be marrying [Bushnell]."

The couple has also been very candid about wanting to start a family together. On the anniversary of their engagement, Bushnell opened up on Instagram about how she had been praying for a baby, but that she had not been able to get pregnant yet. "About to get personal but I am very excited to start a family and get asked when we are having kids ALL the time but it just hasn't happened yet," she wrote.

Eventually, their prayers were answered. On Dec. 6, 2020, the couple announced that they are expecting their first child. Bushnell announced the news in an Instagram video of the ultrasound with the caption: "A dream. Except I'm not dreaming. I'm wide awake. Holding your dad's hand, watching you dance around in my belly. Listening to your little heart beat. My new favorite sound. A miracle. New life. Our sweet baby. Thank you Jesus! All the glory belongs to You."

These two are definitely going to be great parents and likely cannot wait to add a baby to their love story.
