Here's what we know about Trista Sutter's Bachelorette success story

Bachelorette couple Trista and Ryan Sutter's relationships is one of the longest (and strongest!) in the franchise's decades-long history. However, even though Trista and Ryan have a solid marriage, the two have faced their fair share of hardships. US Weekly reported that, after meeting and falling in love on TV in 2003, the couple dealt with infertility issues for "nearly two years." Fortunately, they were able to finally get pregnant and now have two beautiful children.

Despite their infertility troubles, the couple remained strong. US Weekly added that, in 2013, Trista and Ryan "celebrated their 10-year anniversary by renewing their vows with their children by their sides." It even aired on ABC's The Bachelor: Bachelor Love Stories.

Up until November 2020, it appeared that the couple was doing just fine. However, the day after Thanksgiving, Trista took to Instagram to reveal that Ryan was sadly experiencing some mysterious health-related issues. "We've been struggling for months. Struggling to get answers. And this week, we got an answer that would normally be the best answer of all good answers. We found out that Ryan doesn't have cancer," Trista explained. "But part of us was wanting a diagnosis. Wanting to be able to fight for him to be cured instead of fighting for an answer," she added. "We lived a fairy tale on TV and have a great life for all intents and purposes, but answers would be nice."

We and the rest of Bachelor Nation will be keeping this Bachelorette couple in our thoughts and prayers on Ryan's journey to recovery.
