Married At First Sight: Amber Bowles Reveals Her Least Favorite Cast Member
Married At First Sight fans would expect Amber Bowles' least favorite person from the show to be her ex-husband Matt Gwynne, but that's not quite the truth. Amber was left embarrassed, heartbroken, and divorced following her time on season nine in Charlotte, North Carolina. Deemed by the experts as "The Tomboy", Amber appeared devoted to Matt, nicknamed "Looking for the Home Game". But, things took a turn for the worse when Amber was blindsided by news of Matt's infidelity.
Amber admitted that Matt had already "done some disrespectful things" prior to learning about her husband's adulterous actions behind her back. However, she remained hopeful about their relationship leading up to her conversation with her friend Raven. It was during their sit down when Raven told Amber that he saw Matt at a bar the night before with another woman. "It didn't look good," he said before admitting that they appeared to be together. Amber became emotional while explaining the feelings she had for Matt and how badly she wanted their marriage to work. In the end, however, the two headed for divorce and became one of the many MAFS couples who didn't make it to Decision Day.
Despite that whole ordeal, Matt was not who Amber cited as her least favorite cast member. Keep reading to find out just who that was.
Amber Bowles calls out a season four alum
In November 2020, Amber Bowles revealed the suspicions she had about Matt Gwynne prior to finding out he was a playboy, Daily Soap Dish reported. "I told my dad like three weeks in I didn't think it was gonna work," she confessed while on The Domenick Nati Show. "But I didn't really want to divorce him until I found out he was cheating and that was like five, six weeks in."
However, despite how distressing her Married At First Sight experience was with Matt, he's still not her least favorite cast member. When asked who she had the most distaste for from the hit Lifetime show, Amber called out Derek Schwartz from MAFS season four in Miami. "I'm pulling it back to old days," she said. "There was this guy and this girl, they didn't last but two weeks because the guy was like playing games. And he seemed...I don't know, I wouldn't want to be matched with him." Who knows why Derek was so off-putting to Amber; maybe he just reminded her too much of her ex-husband.
